a bunch of stuff shows up in the comics that won't actually get made. somethings do, somethings are just there for story telling purposes.

The Brainstorm in the comic sure is very stylized and gundamized.
Take my money MMC take my money.
Don't have a brainstorm yet, and if you design it like in your comic, I'm sold.

    That's straight-up just a drawing of Takara's LG09 Brainstorm.

Eh, I ignore anything Takara and Habro now if its not an MP.
The design may be the same, but the artists representation gives it more flair.

With some 2017 engineering updates, that could be kind of cool.

ya, that looks like the voyager has/tak released awhile back, knees are different, but other design cues are the same. If mmc releases something that looks so similar to the official release, I don't think I'll be picking it up.

And really, the lg-30 one is great and scales with mmc's stuff, why don't they do the characters that actually need replacing first? Skids, for example

Have to agree, the Generations one is damn near perfect as an IDW Brainstorm, I see no reason for any other version.
Heightwise he's great, stylistically he's great, I even had a briefcase 3D printed for him.... reminds me I must paint that thing gold one of these days. Frankly he's a better IDW character representation than the Generations Springer, and that things very cool.
Me? I'm still waiting for a proper MTMTE Whirl. PLEASE!!!

Really wish MakeToys would revive the Manga Mech line and give that a shot. Their Swerve and Tailgate are so spot-on that if any company is gonna nail MTMTE Whirl's unique design, I think it's them.

That would be awesome, as long as they scale it correctly. The Cyclonus kit they provided with Tailgate is for a figure that's way too small to scale with other IDW stuff. I need a Whirl that's somewhere between Rodimus and Megatron in height.

It's just a drawing no design actually exists sorry guys.

Like HR said above, many of the things you see in the comics aren't actually teases for anything, they're just there as part of the comic because the artists felt like including them, no more no less. Vex hit the nail on the head, the artist just put a lg brainstorm looking brainstorm in the comic.

Yeah, I don't really see MMC doing a Brainstorm any time soon, as they would have to absolutely nail him to turn people away from T30 Brainstorm.

First, you're responding to a post from nearly five years ago, real timely commentary there.

Second, if you don't like re-decos or re-molds don't hugging buy them. Clearly you have no clue how expensive engineering and molds actually cost, not even the highest selling MMC product has a high production run compared to most nationally distributed toys from major companies; re-decos and re-molds are necessary to help offset the high development and tooling cost for a small-run luxury product catered to a niche market.

MMC clearly cares about their fans, but they're also a company, they care about making money, and they absoluely should. I for one want to see their designers paid well and to see them have enough revenue to maintain a healthy release schedule. That can include as many re-molds and re-decos as they see fit for all I care, no one is obligated to buy them.

    Grow up.
