Will Bruticus' fingers being digits or claw-hand? Why the toy torso for "Onslaught?"

 

Should be fully articulated like all modern combiner hands.

And the combiner chest plate seems to fold out from onslaughts actual torso and having the chest look like blast offs parts would be a bit awkward since they'd be fake blast off parts.

Least that's my theory as to why it is the way it is. That and the toy chest looks better anyway  

 

I said experience, sorry I didn't specify but I never implied it as mastery or what have you. The hands can't be that hard but the feet are agreeably a challenge.

 

I'm just saying that, in that regard, they've done nothing different to any other company who has made combiners, so they only have experience making combiners, not integrating any separate parts. The partsforming hips only became a thing recently (unless you count some of the G1 combiner toys such as Devastator). I don't think anyone is too concerned with the hips but more concerned with how they'll handle the hands and feet, so your implication seemed to be that they have experience with the more concerning parts, which isn't true.

Though I do agree with LazyAza that the feet likely won't be all that troublesome, but I'm still concerned about the hands.

Yeah, of the three MP style Bruticii that are being made, now I'm leaning toward MMC's.

That proto follows the early renders I saw long ago. So it is the MMC version.

 

Ugly gappy legs robot\helicoptor mode does not scream toon accurate to me(did vortex have giant hands in his legs in the g1 cartoon?) Arm mode looks spot on through

 

Holly hell that's cool, I wasn't certain they would pull it off but this looks damn promising. This could be a game changer for combiners and I couldn't be happier. I'm getting sick or the ever increasing number of parts needed to make my combiner combine

 

No, in the cartoon his giant hands materialized out of thin air.  

 

Impressive. Not perfect but very impressive. The alt mode is more realistic so I'm fine with that.

The rear leg panels are folded back in that picture (mistransformed) as they sit in alt mode, they cover the insides of the legs and hide most of the gaps in bot mode. Dood taking the pic obviously just wanted to show off how the combiner hands are stored.

No this is MMC's, same engineer behind this set did the initial engineering of sphinx, backdraft and terrageis. And if you look at the concept pic this design matches it precisely.
