Fans Toys Sovereign has a die cast chest as well, and there aren't any stability issues with that one at all.

Sure but he's got a much simpler alt mode, and he's quite chunky in the legs.

shouldn't we be more concerned about if Saltus ever gets released?

Um... why would he not get released? It's pretty clear he's still coming.

Hmm...I went from liking him, to hating him, back to liking him.

I'll believe it when my long standing preorder gets updated showing it's in the toy warehouse and is getting prepared for delivery. lol!

Having Girder, Sphinx, Jaguar, Riot and Fury in my collection, I didn't get any major QC issues and I love the engineering. MMC is definitely on my good side, I'm surprised to hear stuff about QC issues, but hey that stuff happens.

Apache also has a die-cast chest and he's relatively balanced as well.

I suspect there may not be a whole lot of metal in Saltus' chest anyways. The one pic of him doing the "Iron Man" pose makes that die-cast part look pretty thin:

This is not looking good for release in the next 6 months or so, cause OM has sent out test shots for video reviews before release and this hasn't had one yet.

I asked Ocular Max on Facebook and they did specifically say he would be after Cliffjumper and Arcee (I asked which order the three would be released).

I'm sure there are a lot of detectives out there who wish their jobs were as easy as "Ask the right dude one simple question" :p .

really hoping mmc is able to get close to this digibash. especially if they get the teeth painted in... that would be cool.

I think there's too much yellow on the chest - only the three inner horizontal bars should be yellow, the rest should be green. But it certainly looks better than the unpainted image!

    I think it's either 9.25 or 9.5 inches, I can't remember which.
I think all of the Springers are too big, as they look huge next to Hot Rod, Arcee, Kup and Blurr. Springer was beefy, not a giant. But it looks like all of the 3P offerings are similar in size, so there's not much option.

Springer was always large and beefy He's built Like a Herculian Warrior. He's supposed to look like a roided out He-Man of sorts.

I never got that impression when watching the movie. He just seemed slightly-taller-than-average there.
Now, in a post-animated world, having a big green dude seems reasonable. But it wasn’t always this way.

Same here. To me Springer is only half a head taller than Arcee.

I could have sworn in an interview way back that the designer for Springer stated Springer was inspired off of The Incredible Hulk's build in the 1986 TF movie.

That may be true. I have no reason to doubt that. And I’m cool if anyone is excited to get a figure based on an unseen inspiration sketch.

I’m a big fan of Saltus, and if I get any Movie/S3 figures, this is likely the version I’d get.

All I’m saying is, regardless of the inspiration or designer sketches, the character seen in the movie was (as @yvk2000 accurately points out) not this oversized compared to Arcee.
