Oh, right, that's what I thought. If it's possible to cast the wheels in red without effecting other parts though, that'd be a really nice compromise for not having translucent wheels. If not, it's not the end of the world. I'm still gonna buy one anyway.

 

I'll probably get this. The previous Calidus versions had an alternate head, right? I wonder if they'll include an alternate head with this too. Could be the same head except with the face painted orange instead of gold and maybe just a little lipstick to homage Override. That way Nitro Convoy fans are happy and Override fans are happy.

I wonder if they'll do any repaints as well. They can even mimic what they did with their Calidus releases. Nitro is a regular release, Dark Nitro as a TFcon Toronto 2018 exclusive, and Nitro GTS as a TFcon USA 2018 exclusive. It would be super fitting because you got the regular release, then cyan and purple version as a TFcon Toronto exclusive, and then the SG version as a TFcon USA exclusive. Just like Calidus.

If this sells well, I wonder if they'll even go full circle and remold Calidus/Nitro again as Hot Shot/Exillion.

Not sure but I believe @LazyAza already confirmed no extra head. He can correct me if I'm wrong.

 

How hard is it to swap the wheels on the user end? There are a lot of pinned parts on the legs there, so it might be very difficult, but I've not tried... as I recall, MMC doesn't always use anchored pins anyway, so if it's a simple matter of just a couple of screws and sliding unachored pins out, that seems like it could be a simple custom project if the candy wheels were released separately.

 

Wouldn't MMC get In trouble If Takara found out they're using her japanese name Nitro?

Very excited about this re-use of Calidus and extremely hopeful for a Dark Nitro Convoy variant down the line.

 

Probably not, and that's assuming that TakaraTomy even still have the trademark for "Nitro Convoy" in Japan, which I'm not sure they do at this point.
