Here is my review of MMC's Jaegertron, their take on Lockdown. While I feel the plastic of this guy isn't up to the same very very high standard typically set by the reformatted line, he's still on par with your typical takara mps and the like. I personally had a weird painting error on one of my swords with him but overall he's very well made and looks super good. The big selling point of this guy is the sheer value of content however, he comes with a ludicrous amount of melee and ranged weapons and five new heads for the feralcons which can be installed on your existing set if you wish. If you love Lockdown as a character I see no reason not to grab this guy, if not and the value doesn't sell ya then maybe wait for the deaths head or cyclonus versions.
The ROTF Lockdown was in the comics once or twice, slightly modified to fit the comic looks. Kinda disappointed that he doesn't come with a chainsaw hand, but hey, I wasn't planning on grabbing this guy anyways.
I'm struggling to find relevance for this guy in my collection overall. Sure there's always room for a super cool design and I love all of the accessories, but he just doesn't fit anywhere. Also, the ship instead of drag racer/street racer design bugs me. Bat plane instead is a cool concept, but again I'm just not seeing where this guy goes or fits in.
They're entirely different peg sizes to his, much much thinner, solely made for Jaegers skinny wrists. Sorry dood. Exactly what I was saying in the main jaeger thread. If you love the character I think he's a must have, if you want a basic but cool looking fun toy with a tonne of value he's great for that alone too. But if either of those things aren't selling points alone he's not gonna be your cup of tea. And any animated fan that wants a more faithful design already was unsold by the choice of alt mode in the first place. I'd certainly have preferred that too but given their are no other Lockdowns being done by 3p's I'm happy to have grabbed this guy.
