I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. :)  It's not 100% IDW accurate but then again most of the IDW inspired MMC figures aren't truly IDW accurate either so I don't mind some of the differences here. Not to mention that we haven't actually gotten IDW Dinobots in the 3rd party market yet which I'm still surprised at given how it's very loving towards Dinobots in current years so I hope they may get around doing the other IDW Dinobots including it's newest member Dinobot Strafe.

The almost fully black cannon looks quite nice.

Third party Dinobots are a plague.
But IDW Dinobots have been a huge gap in the offer.
I have been waiting for MMC to do them, but i can't see what others seem to see.
This does not look like IDW Grimlock to me.

    @LazyAza -

    Is this legit?

More. Tell them we want MORE IDW stuff. And keep it more IDW than a mix of random bits please.

The G1/MP people aren't interested in these products anyway. More IDW accurate stuff, then better.

Ehhh it’s IDW grimlock, that for sure. Problem is, insofar as Neo-G1 designs go, the IDW ones are kinda crap. The FoC / Planet X designs are way, way better.

Nice implementation of a weak concept.

Different strokes, I cancelled my preorder for Vulcun just for the possibility of this.

Head/neck too short, legs too far forward. (There's way more mass aft of the hip joint than in front).

Theropods tend to have fairly long necks, Grimlock's no exception:

I'm fascinated by the emphasis on dino neck and tail articulation in the renders.

If this is real, I'm not getting my hopes up cause this is my holy grail, I feel like that was done cause of the complaints over most Grimlock figures having a lack of both. I appreciate it even if the neck has a HUGE gap when moved.

Yes, but they don't have their legs positioned 10 feet in front of it...

Yeah, the neck gap is unfortunate, but I don't see how that's solved without a soft material accordion of some kind which covers both upward and sideways. I also agree with other posters that the neck is too short and legs too far forward. I'm guessing the neck is shortened to cut down the robot backpack, and the tail long because of the typical Grimlock transformation scheme.

I do like that dino head sculpt, though.

As for whether it's real, it certainly seems like a Cassy Sark design, more in the vein of Stratosfear and Zealot than other Reformatted figures. And the robot elbows are familiar from Tyrantron. Whether it actually gets produced as an MMC figure, we'll have to see.

Color me interested when we see the Transmetal Megatron remold. It seems like the obvious mold brother.

Well if you want to go in a more "scientific accurate" approach, most paleontologists don't subscribe to the piano playing forearm pronation anymore.Therapods are "Clappers not slappers".

Only thing I care about right now is that it doesn't look like the T-rex form in the comics. Aside from probably the wide hips. :lol
