Really wish I could justify getting these guys. The designs are just awesome. But the scale and price are just too large for me to justify. Especially with Hexatron, FP Menasor, and function x all coming out. Personally wish these were more to Maketoys/Fansproject scale and pricing.

He stated earlier that the render shown was with only the original five.

Wow, we really should add that to the first post--it's getting asked like hourly.

"No, the newest render doesn't show/include the mysterious 6th member" Maybe I'll just make that my sig line...

Just a wild guess for the 6th member: Leobreaker?

A tiger, a lion, and another lion? That'd be a bit much IMHO.

Anyways---I wonder if the 6th member's weapons will add-on to the sword, as well?

How about headmaster Lione. Color scheme is in Predacon colors, mode is cat like fitting with the group as well.

Since the render looks near complete with just the five I can't see this 6th figure being anything huge like a torso addition, or limb replacement moving Divebomb into that slot. Its been stated that it isn't a Targetmaster and I believe that it has also been stated that the sixth member isn't necessary for the figure, but will be a figure that will add to the combined mode.

The easiest way to do that would be a Target or Head master. Unless the plan is a 6th member to hook up to a chain so Feral Rex has a pet to walk.

You can NEVER have too many lions. Voltron. Nuff said. I'm just hoping for some kind of Savage Claw mode or something.

I could see that as well. Seems to me to have a better chance than Leobreaker.

One of the Horrorcons, for a headmaster? I did like the idea of Weirdwolf someone mentioned (or even Skullcruncher---Mindwipe just doesn't fit in)

I suspect a wolf, or some other predatory animal. Could be a bear, or even a snake(This one feels unlikely though.).

Hey! First time posting, but you all were having too much fun chatting about this project for me to ignore. I suppose, to be constructive, I should post my own opinions on the matter.

I adore the general look and design of these figures and, like many of you, nearly swooned at today's peek at the upgraded combined form. I am impressed that Mastermind Creations is takeing so much care to consider the words of their fanbase: these people are serious, passionate, and unafraid to to take some risk to improve their product. I respect that deeply and it's a rare, precious bond between consumers and producers.

Thanks to Cenobite and Rravager (Sorry if I spelled those wrong!) for keeping an ear open for us!

For nitpicks and concerns: While I do not own any of their work, I have seen reviews for MMC's previous releases... occasionally, important joints or locking tabs can be rather flimsy and worry the reviewers. With something with the sheer size, mass, and inherant instability of a combiner, those sort of things might be disasterous, so I hope they're applying the same brilliance to strength as they are to design. I sort of wish Feral Rex's thighs were a tad longer OR his arms a bit shorter, to perfect his impressive proportions.

I'm torn on the wings... I sort of wish they were either longer or could flare open in a more impressive display... but if they got any larger, it would be that much harder to store him. Can the wings fold down, forming a less-obstructive cape, I wonder? Maybe I should be asking for that...

I love the stabby-weapons combining into a sword angle... can the forearm-cannon go on either arm?

As for the mystery of the Sixth Member, you guys have it all wrong. The final member is a giant Junkion, so Feral Rex can ride an appropriatly sized, orange, brown, yellow and black, spike-covered motorcycle into battle.

There, now you can't stop thinking about it. :)
