In the ROTF toyline he was considered a triple changer but I don't know if that's an alternate mode. They said Megatron was a triple changer too but believe me he was just a cybertronian tank that flyes, nothing more.So is Mixmaster a triple changer or Drift is the only triple changer we got so far?

Same, his supposed "third" mode is really just a battle mode and doesn't particularly look like it's meant to be anything but that- it also only appeared for a couple of seconds while Drift's helicopter mode was utilized quite a bit in the movie- as well as being highlighted in the scene where Drift first appeared.

    That's what I think too
Mixmaster himself had little screentime so that's not relevant

I'd agree that Mixmaster's turret form is more of a mere alteration rather than a full transformation. He really just tilts his head down and folds out the gun from his back for a moment rather than altering his whole body to accommodate the weapon.

No he wasn't a true triple changer. I consider Drift the only true one so far in the Bay universe.

lets put it this way.. if mixmaster was a triple changer, then lockdown would have to be one too..

i'm saying that they're not. they just had giant flip out guns.

He also brings his shields forward and lifts up his legs but anyway I agree that it's just a battle mode

I'm glad you brought that up because Drift is probably the best example to a triple changer ina long time.

Mixmaster technically only has two modes, his robot mode and that cement mixer. That cannon that he changed into was a partial transformation, very similar to Lockdown.

I've never really considered Mixmaster to be a triple changer, he doesn't change into three things, he just basically transformers a gun from his torso. I don't even count Megatron in ROTF as a triple changer, even if he did have a tank, and a jet (kind Of) mode.

Drift to me is the first Triple changer we have gotten in the movies.

Thy consider Mixmaster a triple changer because he also transformers into a gun/cannon. Megatron in the movie is, but his toy isn't. It's a cybertronian tank and robot.

Drift is the first real triple changer. Mixmaster just had an elaborate weapon getup.

I could never have gotten the toy to form the battle mode for some reason.

Not only was Megatron a triple changer in ROTF even though its quick and hard to see his jet mode is different enough, but Soundwave was as well. Lazerbeak in DOTM was like a quadruple or dare I say quin...nevermind

not sure how Drift can be considered the first, he is my favorite though and yes lets hope they do his toy justice most importantly that will be a must have

so.. does that make lockdown a triple changer too?

i definitely don't consider megatron a triple changer.. he's basically a tank with little wings.. now, if he had turned into his first movie jet from his tank form, then i'd consider him a triple changer.

i think you should check out rotf again, his tank mode and his "jet mode" are almost identical. i can't spot any differences.. his little wings are still deployed in tank mode.. so, there's DEFINITELY not enough of a difference to call him a triple changer.

drift can be considered the first because he IS the first.. he's a robot, a helicopter, and a car.. a transformer who whips out a gun isn't the same as G1 megatron transforming into a gun.. therefor, isn't considered a triple changer. and a robot who has a multipurpose alt mode is also not considered a triple changer.

i mean.. in G1.. i don't think anyone truly considers tracks to be a triple changer.. but, he transformed more than rotf megatron does to fly.

He was a robot, in vehicle form he drove on the ground, and then flew in the air. he's a triple changer. and Soundwave? even though it's two movies he's the same character
