Do some G1 figures mix well with the Classics/Generations line. I think some of the larger G1 Tfs, Metroplex ec., would match up quite nicely.

For me, the animal cassettes look decent. Everything else looks out of place.

Sky Lynx looks good imo. Metroplex and the Micromaster bases like Countdown look good with Classics Legends too.

I do it with G1 Cassettecons and Classics (mostly Henkei since I like the uniform look of the bots having chrome). I never really cared for the United versions of Frumble, nor the 3P takes on the characters (like Perfect Effect's stuff). Throw in Crazy Devy or Maiden Japan add-on parts for Frumble and now we're cooking with gas.

And cassettes are just cool in a retro way that I can't really explain. That and the transformation engineering and design of the Encore Big Mission releases still hold up very well even to this day. I just hope Takara releases the Duo-Bots/Cons (Grand Slam + Rain Dance = Slamdance, Beastbox + Squawktalk = Squawkbox) sometime soon.

I display the reissue Insecticons in my Henkei shelf. Might have to try and pick up another set.

Ive' got a few only, but they blend in well. G1 Shockwave with his legs not all the way extended so he wont tower over everyone and the insecticons in bug mode. Also g1 devy with the JB kit.

Some G1 toys have aged pretty well and look good when displayed with their modern counterparts. I think the Insecticons, Dinobots, Scorponok, Soundwave, Shockwave, Sixshot are all pretty solid examples of this.

G1 Jetfire works pretty well, he is pretty much the most articulated G1 figure.

I mix contemporary legends figures with G1 Metroplex, looks good. Would I use a G1 figure to plug a gap in a classics collection or vice versa? No.

I have my G1 shelves set up as "G1 Autobots" or "G1 Decepticons" so any characters/toys that match that criteria get put on the shelves. Vintage G1, CHUG, Mighty MUGGS, Titanium, Robot Heroes, etc. all get displayed together.

Beast Wars II and Car Robots (Robots in Disguise) set the precedence that giant G1 bases (Brave Maximus and Gigastorm), G1 gestalts (God Neptune and Valdigus), and any random G2 figure (Starscream, B.B., the Autorollers, Dirge, Thrust, Black Convoy, Spychangers, etc.) can be thrown right into the mix of any modern articulated Transformers line.

My purple G1 Galvatron reissue hops back and forth between a G1 figure and a CHUG figure. I kind of think of him as something Takara might have released in the Beast Wars II line had they brought Galvatron through the time warp device thingamajig rather than Majin Zarack.

Fortress Maximus looks good standing amongst any Transformers collection.

The only CHUG figure I would display with a G1 collection might be Unicron.
