I hope this hasn't been posted before, but a quick search provided no real results.

Seems like several official photos and even figures in official display cases end up mistransformed. With all the panels going on at all of these conventions, has anyone asked the question of why Hasbro allows it and what can be done to stop it? I'm sure the answers are they're lazy and nothing, but it should be brought to their attention repeatedly that we as fans are watching and analyzing closely.

Yeah, you would think that they could figure out there own product...

I'm sure it is some MBA student who is doing their practicum with Hasbro who has to set these things up. Little does Hasbro know anyone of us would do it for free...

Heck, I'm sure most of us would pay them to transform the figures.

I think it's a plot to get you to buy so you can transform it correctly. :D

First one to play with the newest Transformers, hell yeah!

And Team Jetfire is mostly right, the figures are pretty much transformed and photographed by interns who dont know how the figures are supposed to look, even for the convention displays. If Hasbro was hiring someone to actually handle them correctly so products dont get photographed badly, I'd have jumped on it already.

Wouldn't it be a simple matter of the creator/designer taking a photograph of bot mode and alt(s) modes and giving that to the display person? Sure it would take some figuring out, but at least knowing what it's supposed to look like would be good enough, I would think. Glaring examples include SWTF Chewbacca's sombrero which just required flipping the sombrero around and down.

This was all inspired by the likely mistransformed Alt Ravage, though it's been a problem for quite a while now. Alt Meister is another easy example.

What surprised me is the mistransformation that actually made it to the artwork on Alt Optimus and Nemesis Primes. They drew the grill wrong.

When they turn out packaging with mistransformations on them, i think it's pretty safe to say they're not bothered.

    This is how corporate works:

"We need to hire well-renowned photo studio X to do official product preview shoots for us! We have the money, so we'd better let someone PROFESSIONAL handle it. Prestige and all."

Offering services to a huge company for free always raises suspicion.
