i think it's safe to assume that the twins were killed off-screen in TF3 by Sentinel leadfoot represented the wreckers being killed mirage we will never see because of that stupid BS "oh wah don't kill my car" F U so i am going to assume he was killed in between 3 & 4 by cemetery wind that leaves Mr. Swipe as the only one intentionally left ambiguous..he will return in TF5..prediction! Damn he's good!
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I remember Harold saying something about 5 Autobots and I think leniency. Could he be referring to the first 5 in the OP?
I think you like Barricade for some reason lol. He was a great character and I hope that Sideswipe does what he did. That's true. Give people a chance to miss Sideswipe, and they might bring him back for 5. I personally doubt it, bat ya never know. The best thing to do now is look for his card. Does it make you wonder if Bay would have gotten rid of all characters like he did if Hasbro didn't say anything?
I have a feeling both either both the remaining wreckers are dead, or only one of them is alive. Dino is definetly gone, as he was supposed to be dead already in this movie, but Ferrari said no killing their car, and hasbro was like "ok, we won't kill him, on screen!". Sideswipe and wheelie are probably chilling together enjoying being the world champs at hide n seek.
I have no doubt that Bay would've killed all of them, if Hasbro doesn't give him a 'no kill' list. I also don't consider the comics as Movie canon. So, I believe Dino could also be very much alive.
Topspin and Roadbuster are probably died offscreen and showing Leadfoot and Ratchet deaths was meant to imply that if you don't see them they are dead. We should just accept Dino being dead because I doubt he will return because Ferrari doesn't want anything negative to happen the character and Hasbro can't make a proper toy of him. Wheelie could be brought back if they felt like it. Sideswipe has the best chance and he could have just been hiding the whole time in AOE and after the movie he sees that it is safe. So he has the best chance to return plus he will be a main character in the new RID show so I doubt Hasbro wants to flat out state Sideswipe dead because they had a problem having an alive Ironhide (Prime concept) and dead Ironhide (DotM). Topspin- dead until further notice Roadbuster- dead until further notice Dino- dead because Ferrari complications Wheelie- dead until further notice Sideswipe- most likely dead but damn he's good!
That's true, hasbro probably wanted to keep sideswipe alive in the films since he's coming to robots in disguise cartoon, just like how ironhide was taken out of transformers prime because of his death in dotm
That would be both: Confusing to young fans, to see Swipe die in the movie but then show up in the cartoon. It also could hurt the all important Toy Sales. Swipe (Lambor) has been a pretty good seller for them, and could bring in even more with the new cartoon.
