Scientists Unveil Missing Link In Evolution - Yahoo! News UK
Interesting to say the least
So if 200 years from now we found a whooping Crane fossil, is it an evolved chicken. Seriously, I think it is was is it is, an extinct species inbetween other species.
Bigfoot = missing link.
Ron Perlman = Missing link
I kid. I kid...
...Riiiight. So many how many "absolute, undeniably proofs of evolution" have we had now? I don't really think they understand many of the arguments against it to be saying stuff like that.
Hundreds, if not thousands.
This is adding the grain of sand to the mountain so far as evidence goes. And an extra bit of power to the metaphorical leafrblower of evolution, demolishing all the strawmen sent against it. And damn those silly germans for keeping her from us. One would think someone would have it sent to be classified in twenty years though.
Really? Does anyone who's opinion actually matters doubt evolution at this point? I think it's best we just leave those people to it, preferably with some crayons and paper in a padded room.
The irony of your statement considering the millions upon millions of people that don't believe, and of those the ones that do have power and their thatdoes matter in some way. I know its crazy and all, but it is also silly to right to write them off.
Note: I give don't give a fuck one way or the other how or where we came from. Only where we're going. Down the pooper apparently...hey-oh!
Very cool discovery.
For the curious, here's the actual article at PLOS, referenced in the above story:
PLoS ONE: Complete Primate Skeleton from the Middle Eocene of Messel in Germany: Morphology and Paleobiology
Hahahahaha (insert comment that would get deleted here)
Keep raging against those so called "academics" dude. We're loving it up in this ivory tower, spitting on all the butthurt peasants that didn't make it.
Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle...*cricket-cricket* Surprised this hasn't been said yet.
Anyways, interesting story. Thanks for sharing. tfw2005 has always had the greatest general discussion board.
Er, a lot? That's kind of the point.
And I'm not sure anyone understands many of the "arguments" being made against it...
The lemur was always the link, I thought anyway.
This is an awesome discovery. Anyone else thinking "Darwin's Law of Evolution"?
At the risk of being the one who starts the ball rolling that could destroy this thread, please enlighten me as to what the arguments against evolution are?
*keeps double-facepalm pic on standby*
That's sort of why I didn't elaborate. Me no likely warnings. 'Sides, everyone's pretty much picked their side by this point in their life anyways. They're easy enough to find if you know where to look.
Oh, and FYI-- and I'm not saying this is proof against it, obviously-- but there are waaaay more people who don't believe in evolution (at least as it's commonly taught) compared to those who do. You guys are acting we're the hicks living out in the swamps. We surround you, not visa versa.
I think I'll just leave it at that.
Source on your numbers?
Wait. Are you seriously trying to pull a "if enough people say it's true, it must be" on this? Good grief.
