Whooo I just got my grades in from my fist Semester of college. My GPA is 1.5, Two A's a D and an F...(That's Japanese). I'm still eligible for Financial Aid and that's what counts.

Thank Goodness and I'm now able to keep smiling for next Semester.

Right on. Imagine how much better your grades would have been if you had studied more.

...that would most likely be 3 A's and a D...

I'm not proud of them, but I'm glad I have another chance to raise them with Financial help. :)  Next Semester I'll have everything on track. No fear.

2 aces is a decent hand in poker, so the game's still on!

My guess? You're intelligent (hence the two A's) but you work at things that are easy and don't like tasks that are at all difficult for you (hence your GPA, which only works out if your D and F were in higher-credit course than your two A's).

My unasked for advice? Learn to do the difficult tasks immediately. Because if you don't, your life itself will eventually become one never-ending difficult task on a daily basis. Seek help from others in doing so.

How do I know this for a fact? Don't ask. But you probably already know this yourself, and have been told by many people to apply yourself. Best of luck to you, sincerely.

How did you fail Japanese? It's the only course I got 99% in! What were the two As?

    I refer to your signature.

But it sounds like you're still in the game, Ace my man. Hit the books with the force of a thousand suns.

Only course. Just that one. I remember now that we never had any homework in that class, which most likely contributed to my grade.

And now, Zachy, I must refer you to the quote in your own signature. ;)

Let me know if you need help. So long as it's first year Japanese.

College only gets tougher from here on out. Hit the books hard. It's good to hear you're sticking with it though.

I understand about Speech class. I took it my second semester and I hated it. You have to do everything exactly by the book, which I suck at because I have a creative streak. I did learn a lot though, and I still ended up with an A. However, I tell all my younger friends not to take Speech their first semester. It's hard enough as it is.

Anyway, my advice is to just keep on keeping on.

Wait, people take Gym in college? Not Kinesiology or Fitness Studies or something like that? Like, high school style "run around the track" Gym?
