Those poor toys. All their hopes and dreams shattered, becoming envious of even those who are forever trapped in the box.

Well, I'm sure someone will consider this art.

Sad. So Sad. I wish he just used those evil knockoffs, but NO. He had to use real transformers.

I'm of split mind about these. Some look artistic (like the flower, I'd buy that!), while others are just a fuckpudge of parts.

It's sad, really. I just hope he stays away from rare ones from now on.

With the exception of that flower thing, they look like....nothing....all I see are large jumbles of TF parts. I love scupltures, but these just aren't doing it for me. I also noticed that with the exception of Scorponok and the Micromaster (whose name escapes me right now), they seem to be mostly non-G1 figs. *phew*

Well placed. This is what I'm talking about. If someone doesn't want to sacrifice their rare vintages, then take a bootleg or knock off Transformer (what ever series) and kill it!
By kitbashing of course.:horse:  :horse:  :horse:  :horse:
    Simple and done.

Um... although it looks kind of cool, I am not really a fan. It’s like a show I saw about a guy who took pics of dogs and painted them on cereal boxes. It is artistic? yes. Something that should be rewarded with praise? No.

Kind of like if I took a dump on a fur coat and called it art.

    I am so miss-understood.

My comment is now available for that fucktard's reading pleasure. I posted as "A'rn", if you want to read it.

EDIT: Uuuuugh...reading the damn comments below this dude's article have really boiled my blood. Making recycled garbage into "art" and selling it to modern society...fine. Especially if it's "art for art's sake," where you weld a bunch of bicycle handlebars together and simply admit, "I dunno what it is, I just thought it'd look neat." Ain't nothing wrong with that - selfless acknowledgement is the best truth.

However, justifying these pieces with overblown analyses and explications that require words like "didacticism" and everyone's favorite phrase in the art world, "borrowing from a culture" remind me of why I lost interest in remaining an English major. Art types are no worse than Trekkies or the more devoted Transfans in this aspect - they continue to dream up reasons why it's okay for them to indulge so ridiculously in their genre of interest that they become vessels of knowledge, not sponges. Sure, they can intake shit and spew the same shit right back out, but did they ever stop to PROCESS that shit?

I hate the mindless. I particularly hate the vessels of knowledge, like the art folks that are copy-pasting from their art degrees reasons why this dude's art should be accepted and acknowledged. And I hate them for the same reasons that I hate Trekkies that can't admit that Enterprise was garbage.

There's an old programming phrase - "garbage in = garbage out." This applies to human beings, too.

Bah! Any Frelling Moron could do that with Transformers! How is this art? I saved the pictures just as a reminder how stupid some people can be. This isn't a Transformers fan, this is an Anti-Transformers fan. The only saving grace is that idiot does it with his own property.

Actually the guy is brillant. He gets a grant (ie free money) to make some cruddy sculptures out of transformers parts, show it around for a few years, then puts them back together the right way and gets free transformers. Great way to abuse the system!

I thought this was gonna be one of those threads about mis-transformed photos of toys for Wal-mart and Target and the like.

    The comments are...interesting

    That's scary.
