I used to be a die-hard MISBer but, now I do both....I keep extras of some figures I really like MISB because I like the box art and the way they look in the packages.

I recently decided though due to economic reasons, I will only collect one of each figure to open and enjoy. Besides, I've found that some of the cooler figures need to be displayed in robot mode not stuck in alt mode in the package.

 

im an opener. I did buy an extra encore meister to keep sealed as thats just such an awesome looking in box toy. one toy i havent yet opened and probably never will is my wonderfest black convoy! quite simply its value as is and the fact hat it will likely get paint chips on the firts transformation make me want to keep it firmly sealed.

my hobby philosophy generally is i buy what i like, just one of each and open it.
