Just a question for you collectors out there.

I myself am not a MISB collector, I open all of my figures almost immediately. However, is there any figure for any of you out there that you simply couldn't or had a hard time pulling out of the box?

Like I said, nothing of mine is MISB, except......well My Takara Buster Prime.
I simply cannot get myself to go pull him out of the box. I don't know what it is, I certainly wouldn't be devastated if I or someone else pulled him out, but something about him just won't let me do it.

    Anybody else experience something similar?

Henkei Wildrider. I want to pull it out but for some reason I just can't get myself to do it. Probably the most expensive transformer I own.

The only things I've ever thought I might have a hard time ripping out of packaging are original G1 Optimus, Screamer, or Megs. And they'd have to be pretty close to pristine.

I have a Dia Atlas thats sealed that looks tempting to open so I can combine it with the rest of the micromaster bases.

While I'm not an MISB collector, if a toy comes in a really nice box (ie: Classics Reissue Soundwave, Fansproject Superion Add-On kit) then I put the box away. Good for storage if necessary and it's such a waste throwing out a nice-looking box.

I buy extra figures, most of the time loose, So I can transform them. I have a G1 Fort Max that I could never open, So I decide to buy one loose in the box instead. It has been twenty years since I opened a transformer box to transform it.

If you wallet is fat enough, there's a simple solution: buy two of each figure! That's what I do. I have one loose and one MISB. The best of both worlds :)

It would have to be a G1 MISB/MOSC toi get me to even consider keeping it sealed and not a combiner!

yes, 2 of each is just too much money used on toys. getting one of each is taking up way too much room now. the money needs to go to other things in life.

Only one I couldn't bring myself to open was Binaltech Nemesis Prime (BT-17).
I opened everything else, even some vintage G1s.
I prefer displaying my figures loose and can't bring myself to understand the appeal within MIB/MISB displays.

For the most part, I keep everything MISB/MOSC. On very rare occasions I'll open packages (Alternators, Human Alliance) or I'll buy a second (Classics Starscream).

I have tons of sealed TF's. However, there's no way I could bring myself to open my G1 figures. If I want to, I just buy a loose figure.

I have no clue why anyone would keep a transformer MISB. you practically wasted all of your money on a fancy box. why not get all of the worth of the figure by opening it? i know the value decreases when it opens, but who cares? wouldnt it be of more value to YOU if you played with it and transformed it.

    Just my opinion.

for me, i'd keep the Guardians (blue Omega Supreme) sealed, MISB.
i have enough O.S. figures and well, at the price they're selling for, i couldn't open it.

that, or a Predaking set. Metal figures, btw.

Some TFs have beautiful looking boxes with fantastic artwork. They make for great display pieces. I rarely feel like I am wasting my money on a fancy box. Plus it helps when I buy 2 of almost everything. While I am not out to make money on TFs, a MISB/MOSC figure will usually fetch far more than a loose one. Just makes more business sense to me. I enjoy them just fine staring at the MISB Transformer. There are certain TFs that look dazzling inside their box.

I'd never open a sealed G1 toy. Ever. If I want to fiddle with a toy I'll buy a loose one. And for most characters, half of the nostalgia for me is the artwork. Boxes can make VERY nice displays.

Yes, if I had a MISB G1 Transformer it would stay MISB.
The only Transformer I have that isn't opened is the red Bruticus Maximus chopper. I probably won't ever open it lol.

I've opened up everything I own and will own. Some stuff would be nice to own a double of (Takara Collection reissues, Galaxy Force, Beast Wars Metals, Hasbro Animated) because of the packaging, but that'll only happen under the "I win the lottery" scenario.
