I have never kept any new toy MISB, but I just got my Henkei Ghost Starscream... I'm torn between opening and keeping him MISB for the first time ever!

    What do you guys think?

Just open it carefully, you can always keep it MIB.

Exactly. What is the point on having a toy if you can't touch it. Some may buy transformers to make money in the future but not many. If you are planning to sell it in the future then don't open it. If not, open and enjoy.

What's compelling you to keep it sealed?

The Henkei packages are designed to be reuseable after being opened?

    Unless it's a G1 figure, open it.

Isn't the Henkei Starscream very rare?

I will probably keep this one MISB as I have Henkei/Classic Starscream to play with

If I just wanted to look at a toy in the package, I would have just left it at Walmart and visited from time to time. :p

If you already have the mold, keep it MISB.

If not, open it. Its a fun toy.

Well, it certainly wouldn't rip pieces off of the backing card like Hasbro's since all the sides are taped and not glued. So just slice the tape open with a box cutter or something and tape it back up later if you feel like putting the TF back in.

I'd keep it MISB. I like keeping those type of "exclusive" type figures sealed. Just my preference.

Anything else though you might as well open it.

never got the appeal of keeping stuff MSIB myself - if you want to make an investment you'll get a better return on pretty much anything other than toy robots.

besides, they look much cooler out of the box.

I wish i had a G1 TF for every time someone asks this......

anyway if you don't plane to sell it ever then open it if you plan to resell keep it sealed and perhaps AFA it. Ill keep this brief and not rant on my opinions of AFAing TF

keep it misb then buy a loose figure to play with... :)

although i always want to get my figures misb, i usually set them loose. i got a tftm "capture of bumblebee" around two weeks ago which i haven't opened yet, not that it's rare or anything, it just looks better misb since the box is actually a diorama... :)

All my Transformers are AFA'd and MISB/MOSC.

However I still have all my loose Transformers from when I was a kid.

I would keep one MISB, and one loose, then you have the best of both worlds.

Same here, the only (and probably the last) MISB item I have is G1 First Aid.

Open that's what I'm going to do with mine once it arrives! Actually does this toy suffer from any of the common seeker mold problems? Loose wings, launchers falling out of his arms etc? If it does I'd keep it misb

As some one else said, you can open the Henkei packaging and still have it near enough damn it mint, so open it and keep the packaging.
