Preferably, I'd want to buy my toys MISB. But I'd take them out of their boxes afterward, of course. Loose toys I will only buy from people whom I trust.

I prefer to buy loose unless its from WM or somethin mainly because it lowers the price and a loose figure is usually easier to get than something MIB or MISB

really depends on what your going for MISB is best if your going for holding maximum value, downside most space needed to display, and for vintage figs highest prices and you can't transform it MIB is the middle ground you have the box for a bit of extra value but you can still take out the fig to display and transform, downside you have to store the boxes somewhere prices can still be high but not as much as MISB, Loose: good for display and play, no boxes to store least expensive although rare molds can still be expensive , down sides include least valueable and highest odds of losing parts and of finding incomplete figs

really whats best depends on your way of collecting if your collecting for potential value down the line MISB is they way to go, if you want them to hold good value and stillbe able to display them nicely then MIB, If value is not a big concern and you collect for enjoyment or on a budget then loose is your friend

I go for loose in most cases as i cannot really afford MIB or MISB and id want to open and display any way and i really don't have room to store boxes so Loose is the best fit for me

If I had the room I'd keep my toys MSIB. Since I don't have room I open them up and fold down the boxes.

I mix it up a bit...my Classics/Universe are loose in my curio cabinet....my G1 reissues are MISB. Those boxes are just as much of a work of art as the toys!

I don't really see the point in MISB for expensive vintage items. Because you cut the value as soon as you open it. And I'm going to want to take it out of the box.

For recent items I will generally go MISB though. The only ones I keep MISB are occaisional doubles, and a few I just haven't gotten around to opening.

I'm all about MISB, I don't play with them, so I see them more as collectibles than toys, from time to time I buy multiples of some TF I really like to open and display him.

Dunno....if I had to choose one title for myself, I'd consider myself a MISB guy. Because I usually keep stuff in package. But after awhile, I give in and open some of them. I am more prone to opening the newer stuff like Universe and Henkei. But stuff like Encore, that is more or less reissues, I keep those in box...and have never opened those.

I think a toy can look just as good in the box(especially nowadays where everything is in a window box) as it does out of the box. That's how I see it.

If I really like a toy, and plan on having two of them, I buy the first one to keep MISB/MOSC. When I buy the second one, I buy it loose if I can.

Assuming you're talking second hand buying, loose. Everything I buy gets opened, and I'd rather have something that someone has already found any faults with.

90% of my Transformers are loose. I like having them out to transform and display. Some I keep MISB because they look cooler in the packaging (for example, the Target Exclusive "Freeway Battle" set with display packaging) and others I keep MISB to eventually sell.

Or if you mean what do I prefer when purchasing? MISB all the way, unless it's G1. I prefer stuff with the least likelihood of damage/tampering.
