Earlier this morning I asked the seller if he could post some pics of the box. Hopefully those will show up sometime soon.

Cool to see a Voyager in the package. Here's hoping that they do post more/better pictures of it, as I'm curious as to what the whole box looks like, and what his bio says about him.

I'm no sure if he's a tool or a genius, he has teh first ever packaged voyager from this line and he doesn't show the whole package. Perhaps it's not idiocy and he's hoping the mystery and oppourtunity to be teh first to see it will drive the price up.

I get the feeling that Bulkhead is going to be the new Armada Red Alert or Energon Ironhide.

I can't see him selling too well. At least not in my area. I can imagine tons of him warming the shelves & not selling.

Oh yeah, make that Armada Red Alert, Energon Ironhide & Cybertron Mudflap & Cybertron Defense Red Alert. You know, the ultimate shelf warmers. I can see Bulkhead fitting in that category. But I could be wrong.

If he's an appealing/amusing character then he'll sell, that seems to be one of this lines greatest strengths, diversity of Character.

    true.

each and every toy will be a recognisable character even to young kids and i feel thats going to make a BIG difference to their relationship with theis line.

Thats something that the trilogy or movie didnt have, sure BB is the yellow car in the movie but a kid faced with shelves of movie toys proper (with their different size classes) and then real gear toys and the plethora of non film bots with repaints will be confused.

Imagine a kid in target (or even a parent with a name on a sheet of paper) looking for bumblebee, is it vintage/concept/legend/slammer/ ultimate etc, also looking for the military vehicle, which one???????? A kid looking for animated bulkhead only has 1 toy to look for and it looks like bulkhead in the box, hes big green and round.

the trilogy toys were such a hotch potch of non descript fantasy vehicles with many repaints that nothing stands out, even to me (a casual collector) nothing in the trilogy line ever said 'this is bot x and here i am on the shelf' (if you get my meaning). Anybody who says 'but megatron is a non descript fantasy vehicle' i will agree entirely BUT thats what makes him unique in this line so its a plus.

kids are going to see the artwork of the character they immediately recognise, theres yellow BB, round green bulkhead, red/blue OP etc. each appears unique and each will become desirable for that.

the last time a TF line had such character was surely beast wars (although animated still beats it for character identification, even if for the fact there are fewer characters), the initial line up was overall a fun set of toys, it did degenerate horribly though into more elaborate and ugly designs. As long as the animation toys stay as unique characters from the show (and that 3 minute clip weve seen throws more character at you than anything from the full movie) I reckon hasbro have got a major winner here.

To my mind animated is where hasbro really put their minds together and finally got it right. I just hope that the designer/s of the toys weve already seen stay put right through.
