I'm surprised theres no thread about this yet. The demo has been out a couple of weeks now, and the game came out recently, anyone else playing it?

I have to admit, I've not spent that much time with it (Fallout 3 is sooooo compelling) but I did have a good sitdown with Mirrors Edge the other day.

And you know what? Its HARD. Not hard to progress or anything, but hard in that you'll die. A lot. One mistake and its fall to your death.

I mean, when your momentum is up, and you're traversing rooftops at speed with gunfire all around you its exhilirating, until you make one slip up and fall to your DOOM.

I dunno about this one yet. Its different to how I thought it would be, not enough rooftop exploring (to get a feel for all the lines availible) and too much under fire (its not exactly combat, you're totally outgunned).

    Anyway, thoughts?

Sums up thoughts on the game entirely. I died a lot. Doing silly mundane things. Very frustrating I hate that it promotes this sort of free play gameplay but 9 times out of 10 there's only one way to do a puzzle. Which is insane in this game!

I should be able to scramble-jump-crawl-duck-shimmy my way in or out of any situation like Assassin's Creed. I didn't understand how Faith could punch open a large metal door but a flimsy chain link fence stopped her progress.

I didnt die too much, mostly from missing disarms and getting punched in the head. I did play the demo far to much to the point I was pretty good at making the leaps and was completley comfortable with the controls.

Personally I loved it. There were points in the game I was really frustrated. Usually because I had no idea how to get to a point or where to even go, I was expecting more of the red help markers. I also got stuck in one spot because I didn't know you could break through glass and at a part near the end of the game because I didn't know how to pick up guns.

Love the game, I just beat it on Normal and now playing it on Hard.

Play the time trials a lot and the game is very easy, you will be like a runner and see where to go without problems. Thats all I did when the game came out was do that stuff and watch ghosts before playing the normal game.

I have to wait until January or so to get it. I found the console controls cumbersome. I want to use a mouse and keyboard.

You know that sound of Faith hitting the ground, I hear that a lot. Up to chapter 3 it wasn't too bad, but after that there are a lot of jumps that are "trial and error" with too much error.

i'm about halfway through now methinks. there's definately alot of dying at the same point over and over, especially with the sections where you're being shot at. but when you do get it right its awesome.

i keep finding myself wanting to play the game... its strangely addictive.

I've just finished the fifth part. I died a lot in the shopping mall, where you're at the top of the inside of building and you have to do a wall-run on to pole so you can get on to a overhead gantry. I also died a lot jumping between air-con units between these two buildings, which was a bit before the mall.

I really enjoyed the demo but I've heard a few people saying it's not really worth owning due to a short story mode and a lack of replay value. I might trade in Fallout for it.

I rented it and I'm glad I did. It's a good game, but one that would be over with far to soon.

Beat it last week and loved it all. Even at its most frustrating I kept coming back for more. Can't wait to replay it on Hard (and actually use the guns I pick up this time, trying to earn the Test of Faith added a lot of the afore-mentioned frustration)

    NOOOOOOO.

I'll try and find out my times then, I'll have to write them down or something. On that olden day stuff. Called paper or something.
