This. I was looking forward to a svelte S15-like alt mode for Drift, but what we got was an atrocity of Japanese automotive design with too many curves in all the wrong places.
He's going to be a Walmart Exclusive. Single figure case assortment so eight per case, so he will not be hard to find at retail hopefully. I want to get that one for my set truth be told, he'll look good with the Voyager Decepticons, and other guys who are meant to be the same size as / bigger than him but only get smaller toys. As far as Mirage and the rest go, the line so far has demonstrated that new characters are inserted in between redecos and existing characters updated. I'd imagine him and Wheeljack will be in the fourth wave, with Cyberfire Bumblebee and Specialist Ratchet perhaps.
Is it just me who sees a bit of Prime Arcee in his design (curvy pieces on the sides of the face, raised shoulder...things, arm blades etc)?
... hopefully that doesn't mean the altmode will be an unlicensed imitation Ferrari. What I've seen of the design so far I'm a little disappointed with. They have the headlights on the chest and the door-wings. It's just a bit cliché. It should still have the potential for a great toy, but I'm just not as impressed as I was when I first saw Sideswipe's design. I'm hoping it looks better in action and when we see some decent CG renders.
Well, to be honest, there were a few in ROTF that have still never seen a proper toy release. So, technically there is room for the argument that toys may never appear.
Hey all,to this day I still don't know why they didn't do Blender Bot from ROTF,yes the Famous blender bot with the crotch gatling gun,I woulda pay $100 for that one figure alone just to show off to my friends his tool.Damn You Hasbro he shoulda been made. Now back to the topic,I figure since this is the last movie Hasbro will surely try to make as many figures as possible,so I would say its a pretty good chance they will make Mirage.
