Chance's are, his power to vanish is a creation of the prequel/novel/comic's and is only there based off of the name that he doesn't even have and so he doesn't have that power nor the name in the film...
    did you catch all that?

Either you mean he's not G1 Mirage and therefore doesn't use his invisibility in the film, or you're saying that Mirage is not in the film, which at this point is rather silly and extremely redundant.

Well, he is Mirage in the film, and he can be invisible,
Starscream kills him for using stealth, but he isn't captured, Starscream sneaks up on him when he's not ready, grabs him and rips his head off. He just turns invisible, he doesn't de-materialize.

    There's a difference between:

Mirage is not in the film

    and

He's not Mirage in the film.

*Sigh* Whatever, man. I know it's you're job to be obtuse to keep people guessing, but seriously, the cat's out of the bag. I salute you for sticking to the plan, but really, it's not working any more.

You do realize that if I was really trying to hide something I would be debunking the major plot points–which some have made it into the open–of which I have not even bothered to address.

Probably because trying to de-bunk the official movie novel/comic/childrens adaptation would be a bit pointless, wouldn't it now?

Where-as you can still get people debating names and characters etc. in threads like this, because nothing 'official' has yet been revealed with regards to Mirage and Wheeljack.

So therefore I will post this picture, from the recent trailer, and categorically state - That, right there, is Mirage who Transforms into the red Ferarri Italia, he is called Mirage on the toys, he is called Mirage in the comics, and the novel, and the computer game, and he will be called Mirage in the film. I really don't give a fig what he was called in the script, or what Michael nick-named him on set.

Feel free to debunk it if you want, no-one cares what you have to say any more.

How is he going to kill 2 robots that are not in the film?

Just curious, do you think that the novel/comics are 100% on par with the film's story?

Can you grace us by explaining who that red robot with the blades on his arms is then? Unless his real name is John and he picks the wheat for Nest's farming division using those big scythes of his.

Thats different then Mirage not being in DOTM.

I definitely think you wouldn't want to have names of characters in literary merchandise that aren't in the movie. People reading the novel or children reading the junior novel will be confused when they don't see mirage or wheeljack on screen and instead see differentautobot1 and differentautobot2 hoping around on screen instead.
