I ran across this childrens book in Toys R us today. It pretty much confirms that Mirage is the Ferrari as well as a pic of Wheeljack. If this is old news please remove.

 

Wow. This is like "dinosaur" old news.

 

Neat that Wheeljack has his trademark "ears" in that picture instead of his fiber-optic hair seen in the movie and comics.

Also, and I noticed this in The Lost Autobot too, but Wheeljack HAS MUTHAFUGGIN CUFFLINKS

This Book was mostly likely made before the Name Change, Like the comics

aslo remember the IDW Target Exclusives comics, Some CHildern Books and toyline reffered Brawl as Brawl while the Film reffered him as Devastator (so its likely the ssame may happen with Dino/Mirage and Que/Wheeljack)

But this actually proves nothing. Nelson/Bay's claim is that "Mirage" is only named so in merchandise, adaptations, etc. but Ferrari requested the character in the film itself to be called "Dino". We won't know until the film, really.

See, I never got this logic. We all know that Brawl's name change was a mistake, and everyone accepts him only as Brawl. So why are people taking this Dr. Wheeljack Brown and Mirage name change so seriously? The majority of us will still know them as Mirage and Dr. Wheeljack Brown, since that's what they're called everywhere else (Well, okay, Dr. Wheeljack Brown usually goes by his first name. But STILL.)

Hell, maybe the name change was from Dino and Que to Mirage and Dr. Wheeljack Brown, and Nelson just got the early names. Who knows? All I know is that no matter what they're called in the movie, they'll still always be Mirage and Dr. Wheeljack Brown to me.

Ah. Well, every single piece of media states that he's Mirage. The comic, the novel, etc.
The only source that says anything otherwise is Nelson.

the novel, the comic and the children's books have been out for a long time now. there will not suddenly be NEW news from these sources.

if you see something from these books you will not be the first person to notice it.

the naming is also OLD news. and has been discussed to death as well.
