Looks like we're getting yet another unpredicted dusting of snow to make travel wonderful for tomorrow here. Glad I was able to transfer closer to home for work here.
You guys who grew up here like snow ? I'm sure your kids do but do you ??????? The desert never tried to kill me. home sick i guess. not ready for the next 6 months
I’ve lived my whole life 29+ years and I don’t hate snow but I don’t like it, however it’s the utter depressing coldness that I hate.
I've lived in MN for about half my life, WI the other half. Snow sucks as soon as you own a car. Nothing at Richfield Target tonight. Edina Target off of York has 2 SS Ironhides, but that's about it.
The best part is the price tag still on the top corner. I've only ever once cracked open an MoC/MiB vintage figure for my collection but it'd be impossible if I found one with that atop it.
I was just in Dallas two weeks ago. It was 80 and I spent a day on a rooftop patio. That was pretty great. Born and raised here but I hate snow and am probably going to be relocating pretty soon tbh.
Speaking as a 100% Minnesotan who grew up playing in ten foot high snow piles, making snow forts, traversing frozen lakes and ponds unsupervised, ice hole fishing with nothing but a five gallon pail and a jiggle stick, sitting in frozen woods waiting for deer...Nothing would make me happier than knowing I never had to see ice and snow ever again. I hate and dread it more every year. If it weren’t for family being here, and otherwise really loving the state, I’d be long gone.
Born and raised here... as an adult I lived in south florida for a while...I ended up missing winter. I didn't think I would, but yeah after having only tourist season, and hurricane season, I realized that I missed the serene beauty of winter, and how amazing it was that you could stand in one spot in 100 degree heat, with mosquitoes, and humidity, but 6 months later you could stand in the same spot and essentially be standing on the planet Hoth. To me the extreme cold bothers me as much as the extreme heat. It's the spring and the fall that are my favorites.
Spring's the best. Fall is terrible because it's like "It's almost time to get cold and seasonally depressed!" Nothing at Bloomington Target.
Op Op is also on HTS and there's a 10% off code right now. I forget what the code is, but it pops up when you go to the site.
