There was a set of Armada Mini-Cons that turned from cars to bots to guns. Used to have it, just sold them a couple months ago. I'll look for a page. The car turns into a gun, the firetruck a missile pack, and the plane... umm... I forget, but it was something. sounds like you mean targetmasters rather than Minicons as the Minicons that turn into weapons also have vehicle mode
You can weaponize any Mini-con through the use of Lego Technic connectors. They fit into the Mini-con ports and are essentially the same size as the 5mm standard hand hole.
Then looking for something that doesn't actually exist. Like Kusanagi said there are two teams (air military and emergency) that have 3rd modes that are some kind of weapon, in adition to bot and vehicles modes. And there are the 3 weapon combiners (saber, sheild, and blaster). But again that combined weapon mode in addition to the vehicle and robot modes. The Nightstick targetmaster that comes with Universe Cyclonus is unique. Nothing like him before or since, so far.
DOH!!! And all this time I've been hoarding Cruellocks and Doomlocks to use their weapons as minicon converters.
There are also some partner minicons like Leader-1/Clench, Overrun/Run-Over that transform into hand held weapons, and minicons whose vehicle mode is basically a minicon-peg-mounted weapon like Safeguard & the Military team.
There is also Leader-1, Rollout and OverRun that turn into weapons. Cool tips about the lego pieces! Thanks CP! EDIT: Doh! Beaten by Edgewise.
I know they're on my brain because I just picked them up, but the Liokaiser Breast animals all have gun modes. Yeah, they aren't Minicons, but I love the little guys!
Sorry...I mean don't JUST turn into vehicles, but also weapon mode. I can't recall, but I thought I had a little red guy that turned into a missle launcher. Anyway, thanks for the input! I'm really just looking for some guns to attach to minicon ports, so those lego connectors are a great idea.
The Demolition team and Military team are especially good for this as they're basically weaponized anyway.
The red guy is firebot from Armada Emergency. I have the classics with weapon minicons and the universe 2.0 with energon weapons.
I think it's just the standard size that he fits. Though it is a bit awkward looking with such an off-center handle. Here's a pic of Clench holding Caliburn:
