Hi TFW, Since Transformers Prime in Takara is releasing the prime figures with Armed Microns, I thought I'd bring up a thread about them.

I'm just curious about TFW's opinion on them, as well as things that could fall under the term Minicon, such as Lazerbeak, or Targetmasters, or headmasters.

    etc.

It's just a place to debate about them and share your favorites.

My Personal Favorite Minicon is Sparkplug... though I recently lost the toy, and I'd love to get a replacement.

Honestly I love Minicons, and the concept behind them from Armada ironically. Armada came up with the idea that they were created from Unicron's positive energy, and therefor helps balance out his power. The more the minicons were used, the more his power would grow from their discharge. Also the minicon logo helps further cement that.

Just compare the brow of Unicron with the Minicon's "M"

    - I'll post more when I can. -

I'm all for 'em. Of course, I lost most of mine during the "great move"...

I voted love them. Mini-figures are a good thing. Now if you'll excuse me I've got to find a pre-order for some Gashapon arms microns.

edit: I also really hope Hasbro can get out the arms microns as blind bags.

I like them. As long as the ports are unobtrusive.

The Star Saber is always a great Minicon Team/Combiner.

Mini-Cons are adorable. I prefer Micromasters, though.

I like Sparkplug's design (from the show) so much

I was thinking about purchasing another Targetroid Optimax and having it painted as Sparkplug,

Sparkplug looks like the result of Sunstreaker and Bumblebee having a baby.

Edit: I forgot I had an MOSC Recon Team 3-pack before but sold it. :(

Absolutely love the little buggers, it's too bad I sold all of mine a couple years ago though.

I love them by their original names: Headmasters and Targetmasters. But they are cool whatever you call them.

I think I'm starting to become a sucker for Mini-cons. I think I'm going to have to go all in on the Prime Arms Microns.

i like that micron/minicons are being made available with TF prime...but do not like the fact that they are not using the old style minicon ports...that would have been nice to use older minicons with them...basically they are doing a lazy mech tech port and calling it micron.

I love them but as long as their gimmicks aren't so intrusive. I love the Mini-Cons in the Takara run of Transformers Prime but they seem more like Targetmasters.

I like them and am all in when it comes to collecting them....I just wish the Japanese exclusives (new and old) weren't so damned expensive and, for the earlier releases, hard to find.

Some of the Minicon designs don't appeal to me at all. That being said, I wound up acquiring most of them as accessories for my Unicron toy.

That's why I sometimes just say targetmasters are just minicons. Just they chose a side and stuck with it.
