So i was watching City of Steel and Megatron tells the other Autobots that if they interfer one minicon then he would destroy Optimus Prime. I always thought that minicons where just a a/e/c but i guess i was wrong any other terms that was used in G1 that is later reused to be something different?

Sounds like it's a unit of measurement in the sense that Megatron is using it.

I like to think that Mini-Cons do exist in the G1 universe but because no Transformer can powerlink to them, they are not sought after like they were in Armada.

    Ebay:
Megatron used it in B.O.T. and it is a measurement of time "And if you're late by one minicon!" etc

Now the question is, as a unit of time is a Minicon longer or shorter than a Micron?

Well, since a micron is a unit of measurement, not time, it's hard to say.
