usually for this project, I do the 84 bot first, and then the repaint. I was planning on just stripping the paint off of overhaul to do brawn, but that didn't work out so well, so I'm waiting on some paint to do him right. so in the meantime, here's the repaint outback.

I actually used brushguard for this one, since the lighter color would be easier to do the light brown on top of. this is actually testors model master wood, which I thought came out real smooth, the dark brown is tamiya linoleum deck brown, and the silver is tamiya chrome silver. of course as all my stuff, these are brushed on.

I know that the hands are kind of weird on this figure, but I thought that worked out well considering brawn/outback had weird hands on their g1 figures. as always, comments and criticisms are welcome!

Now that I've seen him in bot mode, I would suggest putting in the chest missle but cutting off the part that sticks out the back. It can still fire but you won't have the hole in his chest. Otherwise AWESOME

oh yeah, I forgot about that. I also forgot about the side pipes in windcharger and tailgate, but I was planning on leaving them as it is. that's the problem about travelling and having parts all over the place ;)

Whoah man, that's really cool. Great choice fig for Outback and he's instantly recognizeable.

I'm assuming that means you found an outback? now try to find his little gun that snaps into the wheel on the top of the truck :ev:

damn nice Outback. A very underused character. Even with the stupid cliche'd voice he had on the show.

It never occurred to me to use that mold for an Outback. Very cool! Those arms painted silver, the brown panels, and the spare tire really work well. All he needs is the visor/shades. I think you captured the essence of the Classics line. Great job!
