yes, that's right, I did wheelie. the project's not done yet, still got cosmos to do, and then figure out what to do for hubcap and bumper. anyway, this obviously wasn't backbreaking, but I thought the mold worked for wheelie because

    a. it's an awkward design, just like wheelie

    b. the headsculpt worked well, and

    c. the name seemed to fit with a motorcycle.

so just a bit of tamiya gray, red and blue for the eyes, and here we have...wheelie, the bot you love to hate. view the rest of the project by clicking on my sig or

Interesting mold choice. I don't know if the flames work for it though, it'd probably look better with solid orange, maybe with white pinstriping.

hhhmmmm, true. you could say that the flames are just wheelie's way of trying to be cool. or that flames are too cool for wheelie ;)

Nice idea, and I wanted to do the same, but I packed this little guy up and can't find him. My only suggestion would be to paint the entire figure. I think the factory plastic and painted parts clash a bit.

Good job! I love your mini-bot project, cant' wait for more. You can probably remove the flames with rubbing alcohol to avoid painting over them. It's a cleaner solution

Great work so far, man! I think the only advise I would give you is to paint the engine parts on the sides for alt mode silver. You can keep the arms the marooon in robot mode that way too :)

I think this is a clever choice for Wheelie as well! Good call :)

I've got a few of these for future customs (they're just a tad big, but decently close to 1:24 scale for my Alts). Your work certainly is wanting me to get off my booty and get mine done, that's for sure!

Glad to see you creating again, buddy :thumb
