ok... I believe I have it figured out completely.

    Motormaster will be ROTF Rollbar
    Dragstrip - spychanger mirage
    Deadend- spychanger jazz
    Wildrider- spychanger hotshot
    Breakdown- spychanger rev

I did order the magnets for the assistance on combining him. I might use my ko devi head or pick up a bootleg or ko menasor and steal his head for this.

there is also a picture of what it was going to kinda look like with the original figures I was going to use.

I am going to starting on him in the next few days and would just like everyone's thoughts.
    stay tuned for more updates.

    thanks

    Legends combiners are cool.
Magnets work really well if you get the right size.
    Looking forward to it!

Neodymium Magnets by Gaussboys Super Magnets is where I go for magnets. Very good quality and a huge variety on sizes and shapes...you'll have to look at the comparison shots they have with thier magnets. I recommend the 3mm x 1.5mm if you are doing a legend combiner. If you are doing a scout combiner maybe go 1 or 2 sizes up...also try to get the black epoxy coated ones. They are a little more expensive. but they will not chip and show bright silver through.

Ya...that's where I got the magnets for mine. The magnets are better for support on the Big devs. Your better off with either neoshifters or lego knights for the actual connections (especially the arms) the legs you can pull it off if you have the magnets attaching at different angles.
My next devs will have mostly neoshifter joints with a couple lego knight thrown in here and there.

The magnets I got for my devs are the 10mm x 2mm black epoxy coated.
I used the 3mm ones to hold on the chest shield and some 6mm x 6mm block magnets to support the waist. They work really well. Best thing to do is have a plan for how you would like things to connect before you buy the magnets. Set things on thier back and reall stare at them until you have a good mental picture of how things should look.
I stared at my devs for so many hours trying to figure out how things should work. I didn't want to copy to many idea from people, because some people on here get a bit touchy when they think someone is using thier idea.

I bought neoshifters to use but I was unsure on how to use them without making it too obvious that they were there.. maybe you have a pic you could show me on how you did it. I just ordered 10 of the 3mm and 10 of the 6mm black coated magnets from there.. 7 bucks total with shipping. for these guys that will work great. just drill a little sink hole, hot glue and a done deal! I get enough to connect the feet, hands, and head as well as the main connections.

    thanks for the help

try to make them actually combine instead of merely clinging to each other via magnets, I challenge thee. Also, if you want this to be a real WIP thread, and not a discussion thread, you should put up the picture you took of them lying together instead of simply a picture of one tf in package.

I've been thinking about a Legends sized combiner for a while now. I've got tons of Legends figures, I just need to get some motivation going! :lol

I like the idea! I can't wait to see the results! :thumb
