iGear's downsized KOs? Their Optimus Prime (they call it faith leader) has been out for quite a while. They keep saying the Megatron one is on the way (horror monarch, I think they're calling it?), but there's been no solid updates I've seen.

For future reference, questions about stuff like this go in the toy forum, since this isn't news.

I thought iGear Optimus Prime is so called smaller size, now they are going to come out mini size, so maybe the size of a Deluxe figures?

They are releaseing the PP01s apparently in april of 2012. It says the mold is "simplified" I don't know if thats smaller, (probably not) but I would certainly be interested if it was. Double points if it looked good with the G3 trailer.

They have to simplify otherwise you'd end up with miniature tabs that are sure to break. Especially on Megatron.

My question wasn't if they were simplifying or not. It was if they were simplifying in order to make it smaller, or simplifying in order to bring down the costs?

I am admittedly out of the loop, so I don't know if I am missing a big news item where they discussed that they were reducing the size even further from the original PP01

Maybe their simplified mean with lesser details of the toy,is that what they meant?

Could be simplified as in, molding and manufacturing process.

The toy is definitely downgraded. This could be to improve quality with more robust tabs, or to keep costs down to lower the price.... OR to allow it to be made smaller.

I find it strange that there is nothing talking of further reduced size in the PP01S description. I would imagine they would do that if they was their intention. Maybe I'll email them
