So, here is my blatant plagarization of Freestyle's awesome Minerva custom using Transcanning Movie Bumblebee. The Transcanning version of Bumblebee is probably the ugliest Bumblebee I've seen yet (which for the movie line is saying something). But the toy is perfect for customizing since all the parts are designed to come off.

Thus, I made the figure into my very own version of Masterforce character Minerva. I even gave her horns from a Classics Jetfire helmet, just like my Club exclusive Nightbeat (also pictured).

Unfortunately, I hit a snag: my customizing skills with putty are highly limited. :(  I feel like I butchered her face and had managed to make something only barely passable. In particular, I can't seem to give her a proper mouth. *sigh* Maybe I need sculpting lessons.

    Wow, way to be supportive.

I never particularly liked Masterforce, but this is a great rendition of Minerva. Far better than I could ever do :thumbs2:

She looks great man. I'm not the best sculpter either, but you may want to send a pm to Sculptbt, I'm sure he has a few tips, or have a look at his Tutorial thread. That may give you some guidance. Other than that, good work! :thumb

I disagree. The build and details help it easily pass as a female. Great work, like the color scheme too.

I take back the comment I made toward you on constructive criticism in that other thread.

E.C.R., I think you've done some good work here! I really can't comment on the head as your photos don't really allow me to get a good, close-up view of it. Sculpting isn't the easiest thing to do, but nor is creating a custom Transformer on any level. I think your work looks really slick from what I can tell :thumb

Also, guys, while I of course side with you all on constructive criticism (I did help create the etiquette, after all  ), we also need to be supportive of others who are not as familiar with Radicons and how we roll. I think you guys did a good service about pointing out being constructive, but let's all make sure we remain kind in doing so. :)

I love what you did with the mold and turned it into a completely different thing and i think you did an ok job with the face because it was the first time you tried to turn a bb head into a minerva head.

Yeah, she definitely looks better from a distance as opposed to a close up. That said, I think I'm generally satisfied with the way the head turned out. I may eventually pen in a mouth if I decide it will look well.

Anyway, thanks for the constructive criticism everyone. :thumb
