I only ever remember Megan interacting, (as in talking to) with Wheelie (and not nicely), Bumblebee and Jetfire, tbh. In the first one, she asks Optimus a few questions. I think that's about it.

 

as much as I liked Megan Fox, I'm glad she got booted for talking shit about Michael Bay and comparing him to you know who.

 

ah-so she just stood around in the scenes where everyone is just standing around. and we know shes a little tougher than than that, her brother is military and they seemed close. she didnt want to lose him, thats why she wanted Sam to stay away from the war. She never showed not being capable of that scene with Megs

 

Carly instead of Mikaela is the weakest part of the movie for me. Especially with the lame break up story. If they had killed her off, I could have gotten more into Sam and Carly's relationship and Sam being so determined to rescue/protect Carly. As it is, I don't buy the breakup, and I didn't feel the relationship with Sam/Carly as much. If you replaced Carly in DOTM with Mikaela I think it's a much stronger connection and payoff, and that's keeping the scenes with Carly mostly the same. I think they fit the Sam/Mikaela relationship better.

 

I totally agree with that. Yeah she suppose to be some military daughter but she acts nothing like it. Megan acts like has tougher background than Carly. Sam and Mikaela had better chemistry. I think because Shia and Megan were good friends so it was easier.

Did they explain what happened to Mikaela?

 

They broke up. Simple.

 

My main gripe was her inability to deliver her lines convincingly. It looked as if she was struggling to remember what she was going to say next. Sure, her character called Megatron a bitch, but that doesn't make the actress. It's just a line, one that i'm sure Megan Fox could have delivered with a bit more bite.

It was very obvious that she has no experience in acting and was just there to look pretty (which she isn't, IMO. Her face is a mess). Dempsey, Le Beouf and even Megatron (who I like to imagine having a conversation with Bay after he says cut and saying "Is this the best you could come up with? No other actual actresses were availabe?) had to really carry the scene's they were in and she just seemed so... unconvincing.

But hey, the majority of the rest of the film was pretty fucking great. Just wished Megan Fox had compared Bay to Stalin or Pol Pot or Mugabe instead of Hitler, then maybe Spielberg may not of had a hissy fit.

Also, did someone actually say that he acting was 'perfectly average'?! There's an oxymoron if ever i've seen one!

 

I actually liked Carly more. I was expecting her to be as bad as Megan Fox, but she was at least half-decent by the end.

 

Carly, hands down. Besides her being prettier, imo (Megan Fox is like trailer park pretty, which isn't a good thing), I think Rosey delivered better and had stronger chemistry with Shia than Megan had in the first films.

Carly was cool, but I missed Mikaela

 

In the first few scenes I couldn't help but miss Mikaela but I think that's just because I'd gotten used to her. However by then end of the film I'd completely forgotten about her. I liked Carly's character and her performance was good. Shia and Rosie worked well together, I think, so that helped too.

Mikaela:
One dimensional character portrayed by an eye candy "actress".
Carly:
Had a bit more dimension to her, was portrayed by a better actress, and just pulled everything off perfectly.
And she's british.
And her on screen chemistry with Sam was believable.

I think Carly wins.
