I'd just like to point out this very fascinating website by a passionate collector of European G1 toys. Mijo is doing amazing detective work chronicling the history of and mysteries surrounding international pre-Transformers licenses (GiG Diaclone/Trasformer in Italy, Takara Diaclone in Finland and Joustra Diaclone in Western/Central Europe) and the 1985 "MB"-branded European Transformers. I think Maz linked part 4 before, but here are all five parts so far:
    Part 1
    Part 2
    Part 3
    Part 4
    Part 5

This is not only extremely fascinating, but also really entertainingly written.

Bam, I'm definitely taking a better look at this when I'm fully awake.

Oh God. Just reminded me that my mum gave away my red MB Tracks, when she felt I had I "grown out" of Transformers, along with a lot of other now priceless and pretty much irreplaceable bits and pieces.

20 Years later and still waiting to actually grow out of them, I'm torn between a suicide booth for me or a shotgun for her.

The "MB-branded Transformers wave 2 toys are actually repackaged Joustra Diaclone stock" and "Optimus Prime was missing from MB wave 1 because of Joustra's contract with Takara" theories are particularly interesting.

The best writing and detective work anywhere in the fandom, from one of the most knowledgeable and genuine collectors I've ever met.

There is not a single member of the community who would not benefit from reading Mijo's work, absolutely first class.

    All the best
