I love them. I just don't love their price point.

I think these things are hilarious. Way back when, people bitched (and some still do) about Action Masters. But take away a load of their posability and play value and people love 'em. Same goes for Robot Heroes. So yeah, junk IMO. If they were a lot cheaper, I might pick one or two up, but not at the price they go for.

A lady friend of mine is in love with the things, but I don't get them...

I'm sure that they're the closest thing Hasbro has to a money-printing machine.
You think of how much design and engineering effort/expense goes into your standard TF and compare that to just putting a new "skin" over the same figure time and time again. The economies of scale over the whole line have to look crazy.

IIRC, there's a blank Mighty Mugg that you can paint/doll up yourself. That might be an interesting project. That one aside, they don't really do much other than lift up their arms....which I can do myself without spending $11.

ok, I know you already decided but i would only get the ones of characters you like that look ok. I already got Ops and I love him. kept him in box cause I didn't see a point in pulling him out since he's gonna look the same. The only other one I would get is Grimlock. oh and who else thinks BB looks like a ******ed yellow short-eared rabbit?

Heh. Well Robot Masters have good cheese value because they are superdeformed and all smiley and crap. The Muggs to me just seem really plain. Maybe the minimalist design is supposed to be part of the appeal? Maybe they wouldn't seem so lame if they were pocket-size and cheaper. $10 for a lump with all the design originality of a stick figure doesn't do it for me.

Unless there's a Hot Rod in the future. Then I'll buy that.

I am definitely a fan of Mighty Muggs in general. I honestly don't know what it is about them that appeals to me, but I dig 'em!

Oddly enough, I am not a fan of most of the Transformers MM's that I've seen so far. I've purchased Megs and Prime just because they're Megs and Prime, but I also decided to get Soundwave once I saw him. Bumblebee is not very good. Based on what we've seen, I will probably only be getting Starscream when he's released and that would probably be the end of my Transformers MM collecting.

I think they're pretty cool, but the lack of articulation turns me off.

I like the idea, just not the size. These would be much more appealing to me at Dunny size (the regular 3" Dunnys, not the mongo stupid-big ones).
