I chuckled when Ares said their Civil War was nothing more than a slap fight when asked why he wasn't part of it.
I'll get it for the simple sexual tension between Warbird and Tony as well as Ares. The Warbird/Tony thing has been brewing since early issues of Busiek's Iron Man run. And I definately love Cho's art. However Warbird looks an awful lot like Shanna. I actually need to get a second copy for Cho to sign.
I really liked the issue. I thought the thought bubbles during Iron Man's and Ms. Marvel's team selection were a nice touch and it showed that even two pro-regs had some differing opinions. The recruitment of Ares was pretty cool and it maintains Ares personality and motivations from his solo trade. I've never liked Wonder Man, but I really like the rest of the team. Although I'm not sure why Ms. Marvel thinks that Wasp and Wonder Man are the two best Avengers ever. That didn't make any sense to me.
Okay, is this the book where Cho gives Ultron a sex change? And if so... does it explain WHY??? Honestly, when it comes to Frank Cho, if he's not drawing naked girls, I'm not interested.. cause he REALLY should be drawing naked girls...
I really liked the issue, and I don't know why. It was pretty bare bones and not nearly as good as anything that's happened in New Avengers, and they had a Xorn story. : /
it wasn't that bad...way better (to me) than the stuff that was in New Avengers (Pre and Post Civil War). Never did like Ares, but he wasn't so bad here. Always like Ms. Marvel and Black Widow. Wonder Man so needs a new/better costume (never did like any of his costumes). Sentry, still think he's lame. Wasp, costume looks better though. Female Ultron....dont like the idea, but hopefully the story about it will.
They'd better... I'm having frightening thoughts... of going "George Takei" on Ultron... Of course, a simple explanation would be "Cho needed another woman to draw..."
It was ok. Really liked Cho's art, and the team seems interesting. Thank goodness for strategically placed smoke clouds.
