I recently stopped by a local indoor flea market. Usually, I never find anythign of real interest there, but I came across something I couldn't pass up. I saw a collection of VHS tapes and decided to browse through them. Don't you know I find an original release of Transformers: The Movie in there. Box and tape are in excellent condition. So I take it up to the register and the total comes to a whopping 85ยข. That's right for less than a dollar, I get a 1987 release Transformers: The Movie on VHS. Oddly enough, I haven't owned a VHS player over over 12 years.

Have you found any Non-Toy Transformers deals at local flea markets, yard sales, etc. recently?

I have a huge amount of TF VHS, even PAL which I have no VCR for. I think the most recent non-toy TF find was a Bumblebee (Movie) kite at a garage sale for 50 cents. Does that count?

I go to a lot of car boot sales so I'm always finding non-toy TF stuff. G1 jigsaws and books is good. VHS too.

i don't know dude, i wouldn't take a vhs even if you give me 85c, other than nostalgic values, the picture quality probably degraded terribly after 25 years

Well I work at one so I find them all the time. Most notable find was a G1 Sixshot for 7 bucks and he's minty. Edit: oops non toy. I found some old party supplies paper plates and table cover.

Back in October of 2009, about three days after I got married, my wife and I were strolling through a local Wal-Mart and found a DVD copy of Transformers: The Movie 20th Anniversary Edition in a bin for $5 and they had only 1 copy left, so of course I just had to grab it! :D

For me I don't watch them anymore but just keep them as part of my Transformers stuff collection.

I have the Rhino VHS, Rhino DVD, 4 copies of the 20th Anniversary DVD, Metrodome Blu-Ray and both full screen and widescreen versions ripped to my PS3, my iPod Touch and my cellphone if I ever want to watch the movie. Needless to say, I have no plans to ever put it into a player and watch it.

Was it the FHE version? I remember having that one as a kid and they removed " oh shit" when Spike says "Oh shit. We're being sucked into it."

I found a shipping box of mint condition party bags from the old 80's birthday stuff. Have since used all of them... But I paid about 50 cents for the case.

A couple of years ago at the year yard sale in my Condo complex, I found the Rhino VHS version of the movie for I think $2.

Found a ton of Marvel G1 comics and paid a whoppin $3 for 20 something issues. I have most of them already, but some were in great condition. This was a few years back.

I got a 1995 Canadian VHS of The Transformers: The Movie and The Transformers Collected Comics #2 (with the iconic Shockwave image on the front) at different times at the same flea market. It was an indoor flea market, so the deals weren't the best, but I probably paid less than $10 combined for the two.

a few years ago I picked up pair of children's red plastic sunglasses that had Autobot symbols molded on the sides at a garage sale. I don't remember how much I paid, probably less than a dollar. I gave them to bbblackwell IIRC.

That was the best one to get (even in the US) for quite awhile. I still have that one. It was awesome.

A few years ago a couple of co-workers at my old job gave me a 1980s Transformers TV tray one of them had found somewhere, I think it was for the Christmas gift exchange. It had a couple of small rust spots, but all in all I was pretty surprised. You don't expect something like that from people who spent the previous 358 days making fun of you for your giant robot fixation.

I once bought a decent G1 Prime cab at the Salvation Army along with about six other items for a quarter.

I miss the days of good, cheap TF finds :(
