My wife and I might be going at the end of May/beginning of June because we've never been there. If you're from there, or are familiar with the area, what are some things you would recommend seeing and doing?

Fan from Chicago here. I would recommend: Navy Pier, the Willis, aka Sears, tower sky deck, and Macy's to name a few.

There is also the Shedd Aquarium, and the Museum of Science and Industry. Rarely been down into the city myself, but these are some of the places I know of.

If you're looking for bars, ask any cab to take you to "Rush and Division".

Lived there with my ex wife for a bit. See the Navy Pier. Planetarium or Aquarium (near each other), Sears Tower, and the Stadium. Just watch out for idiots. A LOT of idot drivers there.

Like others have said, the aquarium/museum area is great. My family used to visit the aquarium three or four times a year, but we haven't recently.

Love me some Chi Town! Took the fam down there last year, we drove not too far a trip from MN but we ran into construction and gridlock traffic on a Saturday.... A SATURDAY! That just ain't right. We stayed downtown, besides some of the crazy drivers and people using their horn way too much, we had a blast. We bought a City Pass that gets you into places for much cheaper then if you paid for each place separately plus at some places we didn't have to wait in the ridiculously long lines. We checked out Navy Pier, Planetarium, Aquarium, Willis/Sears tower, Lincoln Park Zoo, Field Museum, Museum of Science & Industry plus the Taste of Chicago was going on kinda like our State Fair back home but much bigger and way better food. We also had to checkout the house that MJ built and get a pic in front of that statue. Just make sure you bring the right shoes if you ain't used to walking a ton like me.

Only bad thing about going to Chicago is when you get home you realize how bad your home state sucks in comparison. Unless you live in NY, FL or CA maybe.
