Finally finished Day 2 of Microsoft TechED 2012. It's Microsoft's annual conference for developers and IT professionals. It's a lot like going back to college for four days. You pick the track you want to go to, and then head from class to class. Figured some people might be interested since this is the tech section.

Shot of the stats for Server 2012. Will support 64 nodes of 4000 servers each, all running 64 processors and 1TB of RAM. Did a live demo where they transferred 10GB in ten seconds while the servers processed about 970,000 transactions.

These are The Emperor PC desks. The chairs recline back to almost 45 degrees, then the three widescreen, HD monitors slide down in front of you.

My wife said I couldn't have one because the base model is $6000, lol.

And of course, you can't sell anything to geeks without Booth Babes.

Too bad I didn't see this sooner. I was at TechEd this year as well. This was the first but hopefully not the last time that the company I work for sent people. It was pretty neat but man is it hard to stay awake during some of those seminars.
