Microsoft increases size limit of Live Arcade games

    does anyone even use the memory cards....all the people who had and X-Box (and/or 360) never used one.

    I used a memory card for the xbox. But only to mod it...

    i have amemory card, funny thing is the 64 meg one only had somthing stupid like 50 megs actually free on it...

    That's the case with virtually all memory devices. They're always described by the maximum amount of total memory, but by default, some of that memory is used up by whatever firmware is required by the device to make it run properly.

    It depends on the system they are using KB=1000 bytes vs KB=1024 bytes. Media will use the former while devices use the latter. Formatting will also take away from the space thats available to you.

    Well, I can see why they upped the limit, with Symphony of the Night coming out Feb. 10th. As for using a memory card with my 360, I use it only to transport my profile and game saves over to other people's houses.

    i think the main reason for the the upping of the limit really had to do with Lumines.

    Whatever the reason, it can only be a good thing that the size limit has been increased. Bigger space, better games.

    With audio compression, i could picture SotN being squeezed into 50 MB. I don't think it's the main reason for this.

    I suppose I should rephrase, I meant not so much that MS was doing this specifically for SotN, but if they're starting to release games like that then they're going to need the extra room, that's all.
