Funny. They should congratulate them for a number of reasons. If not for the simple fact that it forces the IE team to make their browser better.

Seems like it should've been the other way around, with the Firefox group sending that to the IE team. Didn't IE 7 just start shipping? Why would they congratulate themselves with a cake? :p

My favorite is still when SOE sent Penny-Arcade 1200 Krispy Kremes because of this comic.

They moved the close tab button and put it on each tab. That will take some getting used to.

Well, at least this shows that the IE team can acknowledge Firefox's existence. Perhaps this is a "keep your friends close, but keep your enemies even closer" kind of thing? Or are they just being smartasses?

    :lol
    That's excellent.

Dam it I was just about to make a thread about that.
Though I was going to back it up with a whole article :p

    Linky

I grabbed the new version tonight and have to say I'm liking the improvements so far.
The fact that it has a built in spell checker is fantastic news (though I always ran Goggle spell checker over a post) and the fact it does it on the fly is also an added bonus.
The change to the close tab button is going to take some getting use to but I doubt it'll become a major problem.

I haven't grabbed the latest IE7 yet, and will probably wait till my computer automatically does it.

Change that one, did it? "Google" is supposedly an official word now, you'd think they'd be happy to put that in.

I said I ran the spell checker over it.

You know, it wouldn't surprise me. These are the guys that have fractal designs put into their sidewalks on campus.

I would find this cute, save that we know from history that MS is rarely buddy-buddy or "cute" with their competitors....

    I doubt it's a message, it's symetrical.
