fairly neat. but look like a bit of a pain in the ass with pictures...
Not much new to see yet, thats pretty much just Surface stuff running on consumer hardware. The real challenge is going to be integrating such things strait into the desktop interface so you arn't just using the hardware as a standard touchscreen until you start an application that actually has multipoint features, which is probably what they'll be showing in 6 - 9 months time.
In terms of hardware i'd be surprised if decent sized multipoint touch displays are down to mass market prices by the time that 7 goes RTM, althougth I can't imagine that it'll take long once the ball starts rolling. Thats assuming they hit Q3/4 2009, which still seems a bit optimistic to me even thougth they got allot of the dirty work out of the way with 6.
I'm curious how this will affect gaming on the pc.
Edit- Wait a sec,,, this could bring back the Adventure genre that's been all but forgotten!
Much of it will be gimmicky and "fun" but useless for everyday use.
I'd love to see what this does for RTS games.
