Looks like multilingual packaging, but other than that, they look like the ones I used to own.

Aside from ebay, another place to check is our very own Junkion Exchange forum.

I've seen these in person and if they're KOs I can't tell. They could very well be a warehouse find or something.

Yeah. I really hope they are a warehouse find, cause they are a bit too common NOT to be a little suspicious... Even though I have never heard of a KO Micromaster.

Oh why did Micromasters have to become my favorite toyline?

I have the monster truck and military patrols, bought from another seller last month, and they are legit.

Those are awesome photos, btw. There must have been a european retailer that cancelled their order and stuck Hasbro with all this overstock. I wish he had the 6-pack squads and other MM sets too.

I've seen these going on yahobby.com as well. The site sells KO's as well as official Hasbro and Takara products. Apparently they're legit.

The markings on the boxes are correct, and match up with Micromaster Assortment 4, which are these three sets. If they were KOs, who would go to the trouble of copying the shipping boxes? Appears legit enough to me.

    Knock-off alert...

I hope this isn't old news.

Purchased a MOC set of the Micromaster Military Patrol here on Ebay:
G1 Transformer Micromaster Military Patrol 1989 - eBay (item 200295246307 end time Jan-04-09 19:44:09 PST)

Seller is one of many who have flooded Ebay with MOC Military Patrol, MOC Monster Truck Patrol and MOC Hot Rod Patrol.

I only received the Military Patrol, but it is an obvious knock-off with:
    -softer plastic than originals
-messier casting with more flash present
    -off-colour paint and plastic
-pre-rusted metal joints, even when MOC

They are easy to spot because the packages have French/German text with English in the logos ("More... Much More Than Meets The Eye")

Delta Star reports QC issues with his Military Patrol set, so severe he doubts they are legitimate:

I'll open mine and see if they are the same.

The biggest thing I'm noticing with my Military patrol is oxidized screws and some, not all of the metal pins. It's a white rust, almost like a lime buildup. I still am leaning legit old stock, but they weren't stored in ideal conditions, that's for sure. I have much more experience with loose G1 though. Hopefully more of us that have these can weigh in.

Okay, here's something else. Check under the tail wings of a real Tracer. Turn it right over, I mean. You'll see there's a really fine texture worked into the surface... like grit, but it's on purpose.

The KO plastic is too cheap to duplicate this, and it appears perfectly smooth. I have four original Tracers, and they all have that texture, but not the KO.

That's the only thing I can describe so far. Everything else I've noticed is too hard to describe or photograph, but I will keep looking.

I got the three from bbts as well, and the first thing I noticed was the oxidation on the metal. hmmm, more investigating indeed. I certainly didn't feel like there were any issues with the plastic quality, though, so I'm happy with what I got.
