I kinda like Universe 1.0 Devastator and Superion.
They look neat. So the question for the owners; are they worth buying?

Looks cool as a display but not much articulation at all. It's about the size of a voyager class and the alt modes are really nice

universe 1.0 versions? not really, the japanese versions in the box sets? yea, they're much cheaper, :)  currently you can pick up a Sixturbo at bbts *box of twelve* for about $50!

The trainbots are my favourite combiner - mostly because rather than turning the kibble into some lame excuse of a jet engine, you can turn the trainbot kibble into some lame excuse of a weapons platform! :D

No but seriously, they can haul the platforms in their train modes. That's pretty awesome in my books.

I have the one the OP posted a pic of, and love it...but I have seen color variants with green hands that I didnt like very much.

If I could get the trains for the right price I would probably get them too. Yes they lack articulation, but they are micromasters.

The head is probably the only thing I dont like.

I have the Autobot version of Devastator (name?), and aside from being a horrible parts-former, the piece as a whole is really fun. I actually got the set in individual boxes from a con for $4/each piece.

Sixbuilder. They're all great sets. I have the universe Devastator and Superion (watch out for Superion GPS), the Sixliner, Sixtrain, Sixwing, Sixbuilder and Sixturbo reissues, and the Sixwing, Sixtrain and Sixturbo chase versions.

    I love Micromasters, apparently :lol

Color me envious. I just got into Micromasters more heavily, having bought the Sixbuilder for my daughter at that 'con ages ago. Now, they're hard to find for decent prices, even the later versions.

I would go for the Takara version of Superion "Sixwing" because of the reported gps problems. I have the destron version and love it.

I had Sixbuilder (Devastator) as well and it's cool too.

I have that Devy in the first post and he makes a nice desktop figure to fiddle with.

I had Sixtrain and the Universe Protectobots but have long since sold them away.

Occasionally you can find KOs of the Six-teams at stores like Tuesday Morning and Bealles outlets. A lot of the time they are oversized Kos, but I've seen regular sized ones too.

I think they're pretty awesome. My favorite is the all white chase Aerialbot-ish team. I either have them or had them. I'm not sure, because I've got to dig all of that stuff out sometime.

I found a set of super high quality KO sixtrian/sixliners for £0.50 each. For that price, they're brilliant and I can let my toddler play with them.

Micromaster combiners are awesome. They're great throwbacks to the original Devastator and to Raiden. I loves me some Combiners.

The green hands version is probably the chase version, from the Japanese Sixbuilder release. All the Japanese reissues got chases except Sixliner:

Sixturbo - Reverse Evolution Sixturbo (Black)
    Sixwing - Berserker Sixwing (White)
Sixbuilder - Devastar (Constructicon version, less paint than the US release)
Sixtrain - Sixtrain Red Mode (Red "hate plague" versions of the Micromasters)
Landcross - Stealth Mode Landcross (Black)

Mostly a case of painting them solid colors, some are cool concepts, I've got the black version of one of the Sixturbo bots. Looks alright, I prefer the regular version though.

I also love Micromasters and infinitely envy you for having that one Micromaster which I presently do not own!

Thanks for the replies guys! :)
I was never really into Micromasters, but these combiners look pretty cool.
No difficult transformations make them more playable.
Gonna keep a lookout for these.
