http://www.microforever.com/2004BM04Kong.htm I hope so. I just bought 3 sets for a grand total of $3.98 a piece (12 figures). And I still got a 30% discount after that. Sometimes, good things happen at KB Toys.
Thats a good price for them. Just so you know, the biomachine sets are prone to having their ankle joints broken right out of the box.
Good Mecha... The figures are pretty weak, but par for the course for Microman I guess, maybe even a little bit more brittle thanks to the clear plastic. As has been said, the ankles and other bits break very easily, handle with care. The Bio Machines are very nice, and while the individual forms are a little bit strained, their combined mecha form is very nice. Big, shiny, solidly put together unlike some Microman combiners, and it uses all the parts. It's definitely worth picking up all four - if you get any, get all four so you can make the big robot. I've put mine away for now (got it last year when it first showed up at KB), but I still use some of the accessories - that huge sword goes great with Primus... Tim "toy geek"
I think they are wicked awesome. and you made a great buy I been wanting this set for years so this past September a KBs also had them on sale, so I got 1 set. The main reason I got them cause they all combine into one big robot, and of corse cause they are made by Takara. But they also have cool extra features, each vehicle can be taken apart to make weapons and armor for each figure. And The robot itself is some great articulaiton. Its probably the best buy I made so far, well worth the cash. Things to look out for. Like some have pointed out they can have broken ankle joints cause I had one figure's ankle joint broken. And be very carefull when building the robot, it be can be a pain conecting some of the joints.
What Kaybee are you shopping at that has Microman figures. All I can find there are Jurassic Park toys.
Biomachine was the sets that got me into collecting all of the rest of the Japanese Microman Force Series (2003-2006). Biomachine is one of the cooler sets and like you I started with the KB figures. So far, all of mine with the exception of BM-02 Stinger & MM Godoh are fine. My first Godoh not only suffers from the busted ankle joints but the feet crumbled as well. Before opening, check the feet carefully to see if you have any cracks in them. When i took the first one out of the package, the feet just crumbled apart. The other three and my replacement BM-02 are fine and have no problems/breaks at all.
I got this one. http://www.microforever.com/2005Ran.htm Its neat, but was suprised how small it was. Will check my local KB tonight to see if I can find these.
Can someone help me out here, Kaybee sells Microman figures? Because seriously they don't sell anything like that 'round here.
Yes the Microsisters are pretty small; but the Biomachine figures are slightly bigger than those (about GI Joe sized). KB sold them in 2004 & 2005 so finding them is dependent on how much old stock is laying around your local KB. Apparently Takara was testing the US market to see if they would sell.
KB Toys now listed them as "Super Value" toys, which means they're a "great deal" and I just got a case back in stock on Monday at my store (I am a manager of one).
I got 3 of the 4 (didn't realize there was a 4th) at a discount store, all 3 were broken... After some nasty words I ended up getting my money back.
I'll check my local one tomorrow, though the local comic stores around sell Microman figures I'd rather pay a discount price.
