I think Rourke would make a better Titanium Man and Igor Jijikine http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1216826/ who played Col. Dovchenko in Indy 4 would make a good Crimson Dynamo.

Yay, on the possible casting of Emily Blunt (I hope that comes through), but Mickey Rourke in Iron Man II? Yeah, I can't see that.

I really hope they stay far, far away from the alcholism thing. Leave that crap in the comics.

Tony's real arch enemy has always been something he can never truly kill -alcohol.

It will always be there to taunt him in his weakest of hours and most desperate of times.

Once you're an alcoholic, you're always an alcoholic. Only difference between those who drink and those who don't is the willpower not to.

It's just one aspect of Iron Man I feel shouldn't be portrayed in the movies. It would just bring the movie down IMO, and would cast a bad light on Marvel and Iron Man to all of the viewers out there that haven't read the comics and/or aren't familiar with everything about Iron Man.

Plus, as a big IM fan, I've *always* hated the alcoholism thing, and I've always felt it was completely unnessecary. They never felt the need to give Spider-Man, Captain America, The Hulk, or any other big name Marvel hero a chemical dependency(as far as I know). Who wants to see Spider-Man fighting the urge to do a line of coke before going out webslinging?

No, one day years ago, some jackass decided, "Hey, he's a big shot CEO, billioniare playboy, let's complete the stereotype and make Tony an alcoholic!". And unfortunately, that's become a permanent facet of Iron Man, caused him to the butt of many a joke over the years, and is something that can never be retconned. So yeah, let's keep it out of the movies :thumbs2:

Personally, I've always felt that the alcoholism distinguished Stark from all other the other superheroes out there. So I've always liked that angle.

I'm kind of hoping that they do explore that aspect of the character in IM2, because like I said a second ago, it would bring something new to comic book movies.

It has been reported that Blunt signed on to star in a film awhile back with Jack Black that is also scheduled to start filming this Spring. Its been stated that Marvel and Blunt's reps have been trying to work the scheduling out, but if it isn't possible, then it looks like Scarlett Johansson may get the part.
