Saw on Glen, "it is summer, so i won't be on my own show anymore" beck tonight that Disney has announced that employees cannot have a gun in their car. Disney has said that they will search employee vehicles and if a firearm is found, the employee faces immediate termination. one of the employee parking lots is 3 miles from the park and dimly lit, which brings up personal safety issues. I don't know why it is a big story now. I once worked for a company that reserved to search my car without cause any time they wanted. when i made a fuss, they said, as long as you park on this property, we can do it. i parked 2 blocks away in a pizza hut parking lot after that. i don't want employees bringing guns to work and playing tag with them, but i think there is a fine line between our rights and the corporation's rights. if you have a permit, have the safety training and keep the weaon secured, then i don't see how Mickey can fire you. that's my opinion, i might be wrong.
