    No, Michael Bay did not ruin my childhood. He just took some of my favorite childhood characters and put them in two crappy movies.

    And no, I don't think the movies are crappy because they are not "gee-wun;" I just don't like mindless action flicks. And that's why I haven't seen G.I. Joe.

    And what, pretell, would you expect from Transformers? Some deep, rich storyline explaining that Optimus Prime took the form of a truck because, at heart, he's always felt fragile and less of a robot than his fellow Autobots, and despite his courage and leadership potentials, he suffers from incredible self-doubt, and therefore his battle against Megatron is a way for him to finally conquer his own self-pity?

    Transformers had "Linkin Park" in it, it doesn't need to get any more emo than that.

    Is this the answer you want? Seriously, a movies a movie. The Godzilla movie didn't ruin Godzilla for me. The Dragonball movie didn't ruin Dragonball for me. The live action Pacman movie:"Waka-Waka" won't ruin Pacman for me.
    It's a movie.... Besides people haven't complained about ruined childhoods for like a year.

    Did he ruin it? Hell no. If anything, he helped me remember it. I took a long hiatus after G1, and with the triumphant return after the A/E/C travesty, I welcomed it.

    No Michael Bay did not ruin my childhood. He made an interpertation of Transformers, and it wasn't too bad. Sure their were some changes, but I understand he has to update it some. Ironhide can not be a minivan. It's just doesn't fit his personality. Bumble Bee being a bug would look like Herbie. All that was needed was for Linsay Lohan to play Makaela.

    Seriously,I actually kind of feel bad for people who self-indentify with a toyline so much that they feel or would even in jest say Bay "raped" or "ruined" their childhood. Transformers was a corporate product I consumed during childhood. Yes,I enjoyed it,but it's not in any way part of who I am. Sorry I'm not teh tru fanzorz!!1.

    Oh I almost forgot,I liked Transformers more than Rise Of Cobra,but I liked ROC more than ROTF. All three were cool,though.
