oh, and mr. bay? if your reading this, which you probably are not,

if you bring back devastator or another decepticon combiner, and have them trash up Detroit or Chicago or D.C, KEEP THE WRECKING BALLS. it was a good joke. just dont have john tuturro say the word "scrotum" "or testicles". thats what ruined that joke.

Thank you. It was witty as a visual gag. What made it lame was having a character point it out and go "hey look, we made a joke".

I saw Dark Knight filming because it synched up with a family trip. The ladyfriend and I are heading back this summer. Here's hoping we catch some of TF3 shooting too. Just for the sake of having been witness to something cool.

Eh, Bond has done it throughout the series, and even at their worst they were nowhere near as crazy script-wise as Revenge. I think we'll be fine. Or rather, as fine as we can be.

Agreed. Or Turturro could have said under his breath "well, I guess all these vehicle bits had to go SOMEwhere..."

I doubt that in the utmost. MB says "Things are going well. The script is feeling very different from the other two..." This sounds very much like a work in progress to me.

Oh, I'm being overly cynical I know : location recces are very much part of this business and planning ahead pays dividends.

However, based on the previous track record of the Transformers films themselves, and also on the ridiculous way that Hollywood has gone about constructing far too many of it's films in recent years - namely that the script is an amorphous and largely unimportant entity that isn't even required to exist before filming starts, rather than it being the lynchpin upon which the whole movie is based - I find it kind of depressing. All to often it feels as though everyone wants to start filming things without a clear vision of what the end result will be.

You've caught me in ultra grumbly mode...:D

"I ended my scout down in Miami this weekend..."

I can only hope he might film something in Miami. I would love to visit and see the vehicles. He has filmed a couple of films here.

I was so disappointed with ROTF that I don't want to get my hopes up. Bring on the new game and tv series so I can get the bad taste out of my mouth.

I'm about 40 miles from detroit, I like when movies are filmed here. More scenes from Mission Xity and the old train station ON!

Great to hear about Bay's logistical contribution to the disaster relief.
I'm sure most of us realise the 'prick' persona is a 'bad boy' publicity tool, rather than a reflection of his sincere nature.

While the script may not be finished, its pretty safe to assume that settings and major events are mapped out in a treatment.
