I hate to get all Godwin up in this bitch, but that's like saying people who dislike Nazis are ungrateful punks because of all the technological and medical advances they gave us.

What is ShoWest ? Looks like some kind of Coca-cola corporate affiliate or something. This may not be a real contest, but more of a commercial for Michael Bay (Transformers). I think anybody could have directed Transformers and it would have made just as much money.

The action sequences certainly were memorable. In fact, that's all I remember about the first movie. Action, explosions and yelling.

    Actually, lol, its really not.

Congrats to Mr. Bay! Keep up the "awesome" work, and for goodness sake never change! Best action movie director in hollywood, and the number 1 reason why Transformers are popular again.

I wrote this in a different thread not TWO days ago.

"More importantly... While we're on the subject of replacing people... Replace Michael Bay with a more creative director. He wants time off anyways. Right? He's the MAIN problem to me... brainless & typical directing bores the hell out of me... He isn't the king of blowing things up/action, he's the king of making things typical and stagnant...... he's too comfortable in his directing style, it's just very boring. No harm meant to your feelings bay... I just don't like your stuff at all; it's not my style. I'm sure other people dig it though... I has mass appeal for sure........"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Priceless that he wins an award after I write that.

Anyways... bad directors win awards all the time; it doesn't make me like them any more than I did beforehand. In fact, it actually makes me like them even less.

That time of the month is it?:bay

On topic, Congratulations Mr. Bay...for winning an award very few here ever knew even existed until they read about it in this thread. Well deserved indeed. Now go finish blowing up whatever shit you need to blow up for the second movie. I'm ready to watch it cause I'm an ungrateful punk that really doesn't love the franchise.
